Purchase Ledger Clerk

Responsibilities and Duties Duties will include:
- Processing supplier invoices using our accounting software – Sage.
- Gaining correct authorisation for invoices from departmental management
- Batching and coding of invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Processing payments on monthly payment cycle or ad-hoc if necessary. (both Domestic & International)
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Dealing with internal queries from the Accounts Team or departmental management
- Filing and achieving of documents both physically and electronically
- Producing Supplier Activity Reports and reconciliations
- Raising and Processing Purchase Orders
- Creating and setting up new Suppliers
- Updating and requesting of Supplier information, ensuring all supplier records are up to date.
- Creating new Payment templates for All UK and Overseas Suppliers
- Raise and process Self Billing Invoices
- Assisting in the set-up of new systems and internal processes
- Assisting with month end reconciliations
- Management and control of the Department E-mail inbox
- Additional ad-hoc duties and assist with other tasks within the finance department for seasonality support and to cover holidays and absences.
- Daily Monitor the Flight refund Cases
- Process the staff expenses monthly
- Supplier Payments Runs 7th – 15th & EOM Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications and Skills:
- A good understanding of accounting principals
- 2 years previous experience of Purchase Ledger
- Experience with Sage 50 or similar
- Experience with Salesforce advantageous but not essential
- Reliable
- Punctual
- Passionate about your role
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Multi currency invoices and payments desirable but not essential
- Ability to plan and manage workload efficiently whilst maintaining high level of accuracy

Job Description:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced tourism professional to join our expanding team with Solmar Villas in Majorca North. Established since 1994, Solmar specialises in Private villa with pool holidays throughout Europe.
Responsible for ensuring the villas are tip top for our clients by completing checks before arrival and collaborating with suppliers to insure a quick and efficient resolution of any issues. Providing customers with an outstanding in-resort service with the aim of meeting and exceeding customer expectations at every opportunity.
This will be an ideal role for someone with cheery personality, good level of common sense, self initiative/motivation and enjoys problem solving
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring accuracy of all villa descriptions, information, directions. Updating UK Product, Quality and H&S teams as necessary.
- Maintaining a positive and professional approach to handling all customer queries and the general provision of excellent standards of customer service.
- Having an in-depth knowledge of the allocated resort area, services and facilities.
- Providing support to, and working closely with, all local suppliers as necessary.
- Being the first port of call for customers or UK Issue Resolution team for any issue resolution (this may include having to act outside of normal working hours.)
- Completing all required administration and reports in a timely manner.
Skills & requirements:
- Spoken Spanish is an advantage
- Home based
