More about Costa Blanca

Known for its stunning landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant atmosphere, the name "Costa Blanca" translates to "White Coast," a nod to its pristine sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters that attract sun-seekers from around the world.

The region has a diverse range of attractions, making it an ideal spot for all types of travellers. Beach lovers can bask in the sun on the golden shores of popular spots like Jávea and Calpe, each offering a mix of lively beachfronts and quieter coves. The coastline is also dotted with charming seaside towns and fishing villages like Moraira and Altea, where you can explore narrow, winding streets, whitewashed buildings, and bustling markets.

Costa Blanca is more than just beaches. Its inland areas reveal a different side of the region, with rugged mountain landscapes, lush valleys, and historic villages. The Sierra de Aitana and the Sierra Bernia mountain ranges are perfect for hiking, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean. The region's rich history is evident in its ancient castles, Moorish fortresses, and historic churches, with towns like Guadalest providing a glimpse into Spain's past.

For families, Costa Blanca offers a wealth of activities, from water parks and zoos to theme parks like Terra Mítica. The region is also famous for its golf courses, making it a favourite among golf enthusiasts.

Culinary delights are another highlight, with fresh seafood, paella, and local wines at the forefront. Whether you’re lookinh for relaxation, adventure, or a cultural experience, Costa Blanca offers a perfect blend, making it an ideal holiday destination for everyone.

Our Costa Blanca villa rentals offer plenty of holiday activities for the whole family, ranging from glorious blue flag beaches and water sports, to adrenaline-pumping theme parks and water parks.

For a more laid-back experience surrounded by the natural beauty of this incredible region, head inland and explore picturesque villages and hidden valleys. This sun-drenched region combines it all in the perfect holiday destination.

Costa Blanca literally translates as ‘The White Coast’ and for very good reason. Endless miles of pure white sand stretch down this part of mainland Spain and has been drawing holidaymakers to the area for decades – and our villas in Costa Blanca are the perfect place to experience these azure waters and sparkling sands.

Our villa rentals in Calpe, for example, are within walking distance of the town’s fine sandy beaches overlooked by the famous Peñon de Ifach rock. While two brilliant Blue Flag beaches are easily accessible from our selection of Moraira villas.

Playa La Granadella Beach

This stunning horseshoe-shaped bay is close to the charming town of Jávea. Its vibrant blue waters, striking cliffs, and surrounding Mediterranean beauty make it one of Costa Blanca's most picture-perfect spots. While it gets crowded in July and August, you can find a peaceful retreat in the pine trees that line the bay. The area also offers a beach bar and several nearby restaurants. Known for its seagrass beds, the bay is a popular destination for snorkelling.

Playa de San Juan Beach

One of the most famous beaches in Costa Blanca, Playa de San Juan is a long, golden sandy beach with crystal-clear waters. It’s ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports. The beach is well-equipped with facilities, including restaurants, bars, and play areas for children.

La Cala de Finestrat Beach

La Cala de Finestrat is one of the most popular beaches in Costa Blanca. It's located in the province of Alicante, and is a beautiful beach with fine sand and clear waters. The beach is family friendly with a shallow area that's perfect for small children to play in.

L' Arenal Beach

L' Arenal beach is a long sandy beach and again, is one of the most popular in Costa Blanca. It's very family-friendly with good swimming and sunbathing opportunities. There are lots of restaurants and bars along this stretch, so you can enjoy a tasty meal or a drink while you're there.

La Fossa Beach

The beach at La Fossa, Calpe, is divided into two parts: la playa de arena and la playa de piedras (sand and stone). The sand part has soft white sand and crystal clear water with blue hues. The stone part is rocky with some black pebbles on it but still offers spectacular views of the surrounding area due to its location near Campoamor and La Zenia Boulevard.

Playa La Caleta de Villajoyosa

Tucked away on the southern edge of Villajoyosa, this secluded cove is a true hidden treasure of the Costa Blanca. Accessed via a rugged dirt road, it's a spot mostly known to locals, which keeps it blissfully free of large tourist crowds. When you arrive, you'll understand why they cherish this quiet escape. The cove's rocky shoreline meets the vibrant blue sea, making it a perfect location for snorkelling, even during peak summer months. The beach is covered in smooth pebbles, so bringing a blanket or mat is advisable. There are no amenities nearby, so be sure to pack a picnic and plenty of water for your visit.

Benidorm is without doubt the place to go for a lively night of clubbing and dancing, and can be reached within half an hour of Calpe. But if you’re after some more authenticity, you can catch live music and flamenco shows during a stay at one of our villas in Moraira, or enjoy leisurely evenings in Calpe at a cocktail bar.

Chabada (Jávea)

Chabada has become a well-known destination, especially for those who appreciate a great cocktail.

It offers a mix of signature cocktails and timeless classics. Whether you're in the mood for one of their original drinks like the ‘Love Story’, ‘Insomnie’, ‘Granadella’, or ‘Toro’, or prefer popular favourites like the Mojito, Piña Colada, or Cosmopolitan, there’s a drink to suit every taste.

The lively atmosphere reaches its peak on Saturday nights, with live performances from local bands and DJs, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening of entertainment.

Aya Huma Cocktail Bar (Jávea)

Tucked away in the charming heart of Jávea’s old town, this cosy cocktail bar is conveniently located near the Central Market and adjacent to the Cultural Centre (Casa De Cultura). Aya Huma places you in the midst of local culture and a vibrant atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a carefully crafted drink after exploring the historic surroundings.

Acuarios Beach Lounge Bar (Calpe)

This beach lounge bar has a relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect place to sip a cocktail whilst taking in stunning ocean views. Acuarios Beach Lounge Bar is an ideal spot for sunset drinks, often accompanied by a DJ spinning smooth, chill-out tunes.

The owner and staff provide exceptional service, ensuring every guest feels welcome. The quality of the cocktails is top-notch, and the classy, inviting décor creates a soothing ambiance that keeps people coming back.

ZanziBar (Moraira)

Perched near Andrago Beach, this rooftop bar boasts breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, with a refreshing sea breeze always in the air. The décor perfectly complements the stunning scenery, creating a serene and stylish summer atmosphere.

ZanziBar has an extensive menu of delicious cocktails and fresh seafood bites, it's the perfect spot to relax and soak up the coastal vibes. Whether you're enjoying the sunset or savouring the flavours, this bar offers an unbeatable blend of ambiance and taste.

A villa holiday in the Costa Blanca can’t be fully enjoyed until you’ve sampled the local specialties. The food and drink of Costa Blanca is a wonderful blend of traditional cuisine and modern influences. The region is full of fresh seafood, delicious desserts, and mouthwatering meats that make for a spectacular dining experience.

Casa Bernardi (Benissa)

For a delightful dining experience, this restaurant is sure to make you feel truly special. Led by the talented Ferdinando Bernardi, an Italian chef from Rimini, Casa Bernardi embodies the essence of "italianità"—genuine Italian hospitality. Nestled within a residential district, this charming restaurant offers contemporary Italian cuisine with a focus on meticulous preparation.

Expect perfectly cooked al dente pasta and flavourful Mediterranean dishes, like their standout squid ink lasagne and classic spaghetti carbonara. Sourcing ingredients locally from the Alicante region, the menu emphasises freshness and a strong connection with nearby suppliers. Diners can enjoy a concise à la carte option during lunchtime or choose from three thoughtfully curated tasting menus: Terra (vegetarian), Pasta Lovers, and A Modo Mio.

To top it off, the restaurant has a beautiful terrace with sea views, adding to the overall experience.

Komfort (Calpe)

A hidden gem away from Calpe’s typical tourist spots, Komfort offers a unique dining experience with a nod to the comfort food trend. Located within the stylish Cook Book Hotel, its modern bistro setting features large picture windows, a mix of table heights, and a variety of quirky lamps that give the space a distinct character.

The menu showcases a diverse selection of both traditional and international dishes, from mouth-watering pizzas and cocas (flatbreads) to grilled specialties and rice dishes. The steak tartare is a particular highlight, and for those looking for a more curated experience, a tasting menu is also on offer. It’s the perfect spot for those seeking something different, blending cozy charm with top-notch cuisine.

Le Dauphin (Moraira)

Arguably the best-located restaurant in Moraira, and perhaps on the entire Costa Blanca, with breathtaking views overlooking Portet Beach. In the summer, dining on the terrace is a treat, with a refreshing sea breeze and gorgeous scenery. Run by Swiss owners, the restaurant has earned a Michelin kitchen recommendation, a testament to the exceptional quality of its cuisine.

While it may seem pricey for Spain, at around 60-70 euros per person for the food, the combination of the prime location and superb dishes makes it quite reasonable. The wine selection is extensive, with bottles starting at 20-25 euros, but there’s no pressure to splurge, making it a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Moorish villages and traditional Spanish charm can be found in abundance here. Spend a day visiting the ancient Santa Barbara Castle in Alicante, head further afield to the beautiful city of Valencia and discover the delightful old town and several museums during a stay at one of our villas in Javea.

The region celebrates festivals and fiestas throughout the year including the renowned ‘Fallas’ (fires) where giant effigies are paraded through the streets and eventually set alight. Check the local calendar during your villa holiday in Costa Blanca and join in on the traditional festivities.

Castillo de Santa Bárbara (Alicante)

Perched high on Mount Benacantil, this iconic fortress overlooks the city of Alicante and the Mediterranean Sea. Dating back to the 9th century, the castle has been a key defense point through the reign of the Moors and the Christian reconquest. Visitors can explore its medieval architecture, dungeons, and cannons, while taking in panoramic views of the city.

La Explanada de España (Alicante)

This famous promenade, lined with palm trees and paved with 6.5 million marble tiles forming a wavy mosaic, stretches along the waterfront in Alicante. The Explanada is a cultural hub, often hosting concerts, artisan markets, and local events, making it a vibrant meeting point for both locals and tourists.

Baños de la Reina (Calpe)

Located near Calpe’s coastline, these ancient Roman fish farms and thermal baths are believed to date back to the 2nd century AD. The name “Queen’s Baths” comes from a local legend, though the ruins were likely used for salting fish and as bathing areas. It’s a fascinating site that reflects Roman life in the region.

Castillo de Moraira (Moraira)

Built in the 18th century, this small but well-preserved fortress was constructed to defend the coast from pirate raids. The Castillo de Moraira, located right by the beach, is an iconic feature of the town. Its circular tower and thick walls stand as a reminder of the area's turbulent history, with exhibits inside detailing the local maritime past.

Centro Histórico de Benissa (Benissa)

Benissa’s old town is one of the most charming and well-preserved in the Costa Blanca region. Narrow cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses with wrought-iron balconies, and historic mansions dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries make this a captivating area to explore. The Casa Museo Abargues, a noble house turned museum, offers a glimpse into Benissa’s past.

Port of Jávea

The old port area of Jávea is not only a hub of maritime activity but also steeped in history. It retains much of its traditional character, with fishermen's houses and boats still in operation. This area is also where the Virgen del Loreto Church, a unique modernist church shaped like the hull of a ship, is located—a testament to the town’s deep connection to the sea.

We offer a hand selected range of luxury villas in Costa Blanca, Spain. Our villas are located across a number of resorts, coastal and in land.

Benissa

One of the best times to visit Benissa is during its annual festival (known as Feria de Abril). This event takes place in April every year, and is one of Europe's oldest festivals, dating back hundreds of years.

If you're looking for some well-earned relaxation, then Benissa is an excellent place to start. The town itself is home to a number of small fishing ports and other attractions including a beautiful beach which is great for swimming and sunbathing. And where better to experience all of this and more than with one of our villas in Costa Blanca?

Calpe

This family friendly resort town has plenty to entertain visitors with local markets, a wide range of shops and seafood restaurants. Enjoy relaxing on one of the many beaches in Calpe, or if you're looking for adventure during your stay in Calpe, there are scuba diving schools, as well as activities like horseback riding or golfing available nearby.

Denia

Denia has a rich history and is teeming with culture. The beaches are famed for their golden sands and crystal clear waters, providing plenty of space for sunbathing or water sports. At night choose from the many restaurants and for a spot of apres, enjoy live music performances at the beach bars.

Javea

With its long beach, shallow waters, and small population, this small fishing village has become a popular destination for tourists. Tucked in bay between Alicante and Denia, this town is ideally suited for families with small children who don't want to venture too far from their villa!

Moraira

Once an agricultural community, this popular Costa Blanca resort offers several beautiful beaches to choose from including Playa de los Alemanes, El Portet, El Perellonet, Calpe, and La Zenia, among others.

From luxe villas with private pools and breathtaking sea views to secluded retreats nestled in rustic villages, we offer a diverse selection of holiday rentals in sought-after locations along the Costa Blanca. With fantastic weather year-round, Costa Blanca promises a memorable stay, whether you prefer relaxing on a golden sandy beach or enjoying tapas and live music with friends.
