Bright white sand and tempting turquoise waters backed by rugged cliff faces make the beaches in Zakynthos some of the best in all of the Greek Islands.
Most resort beaches to the east and southern coastlines offer tavernas and water sports facilities, whereas the wild west coast is home to more natural and rockier beaches and hidden coves.
Agios Sostis Beach
This beach is located on the east coast of Zakynthos, close to the village of Agios Sostis. This is a beautiful sandy beach but there aren't any facilities there. However there is a small taverna nearby.
Dafni (Navagio) Beach
Dafni - also known as Navagio Beach (or Shipwreck Beach), is a small beach with a rocky cove, on the west coast of Zakynthos. You might have seen the beach before as it was featured in Game of Thrones and Baywatch.
Gerakas Beach
Gerakas Beach is the longest, most popular sandy beach in Zante. Located near the main town, you can easily access it by car or bus. The beach has two different sections: one with a restaurant, taverna and lifeguards; another with sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent.
Agios Nikolaos Beach
This popular beach is a perfect place for a family with young children. The beach itself is beautiful, with soft white sands that stretch out along the coast under clear blue skies. You'll also find plenty of trees offering shade from the sun, as well as cafes along the waterline serving up drinks and local snacks like souvlaki or grilled fish sandwiches.
Nightlife in Zakynthos
The nightlife here is full of vibrant energy. If you're in the mood to dance the night away, Laganas is where it's at – the beating heart of the island's nightlife. The atmosphere is electric, and the party keeps going until the early hours. It's the kind of place where you can dance until your feet ache and make memories that stick with you.
For those leaning towards a more relaxed evening, Zakynthos Town is the go-to spot. Imagine cosy cafes, rooftop bars with stunning views, and seaside tavernas dishing out mouthwatering Greek food. The vibe here is lively but without the wild intensity of Laganas. It's perfect for those who want to soak in the atmosphere, enjoy a cocktail or two, and maybe sway to some laid-back tunes.
Our villas in Zakynthos are located in many family-friendly resorts which offer a variety of restaurants and bars. Whether you want an easy-going evening or a more upbeat tempo, you’ll be greeted by seafront bars, live music and authentic Greek dancing for you to enjoy at your leisure.
