Whether you're looking for friendly, shallow waters near our Dubrovnik villas on the east side towards Trsteno, or a secluded and quiet paradise on the south towards Cavtat or Mlini, there's plenty of spots to pitch up and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Dalmatian seaside. Elaphiti Islands

Escape to some of the most pristine beaches in all of Croatia with a spot of Elaphiti Island hopping! Only accessible by boat, the journey over is enough to make you fall in love with these secluded paradises. Breathe in the sea air and feel the breeze as you cut through the crystal clear blue waters on your way over to the islands, everything about this journey is nothing short of magical. Whether you're visiting Olipa, Tajan, Jakljan, Šipan, Ruda, Lopud, Koločep, Daksa or any of the smaller ones, you're in for a serene time by the sea.

Known as the best beach of all the Elaphiti Islands, Šunj Beach simply can't be missed. Explore the south side of Lopud and discover this dreamy stretch of sand, with a bar, restaurant, lounge chairs and plenty of space waiting for you.

For a quiet sunbathing session, Šipan is a treasure trove of hidden bays and isolated beaches, perfect for an afternoon under the clear blue sky. Only accessible by boat, some of the most picturesque spots will have you feeling like you've got the whole island to yourself, a secluded sanctuary just for you!

Punta Skala Beach

If incredible sunsets are what you're after, look no further than Punta Skala Beach. Just off the coast and at the foot of an abandoned runway is this pebbly haven, a real hotspot for swimmers, paddleboarders and sunbathers alike! Spend your afternoons working on your tan whilst listening to the waves slowly roll in, and make sure to stick around as the day turns to night for some of the most spectacular sunset views imaginable, words simply can't do this setting justice!

Banje Beach

One of the most popular beaches on the Dalmatian coast, Banje Beach is the perfect place to spend your afternoons. Just a short stroll from the historic Walls of Dubrovnik Old Town, enjoy the view of the stone forts that protected the city from pirates all those years ago whilst working on your tan on the warm pebbles. If you're feeling adventurous, explore the waves above and on with any of the activities on offer, whether that's with a bit of paddling in a sea kayak, flying around with a paraglider or being pulled with a parachute, there's plenty to keep your adrenaline pumping!

Stikovica Beach

A quieter beach just a short drive from many of our Dubrovnik villas to the west, this pebbly paradise is perfect for a lazy afternoon. Listen to the wind as it slowly whistles through the leaves of the nearby trees and let go of all your everyday worries on this more hidden coastal gem.

Zaton Beach

Surrounded by the gorgeous mountainous landscape of the Adriatic coast, Zaton Beach isn't exactly the golden stretch of sand you'd expect, but is still a hidden gem absolutely worth visiting. A quieter cove with pebbly shores, this is a great spot to hire a boat, take a dip, or simply sunbathe on a lounger.

Explore the City Walls Encircling Dubrovnik Old Town

A real must see on your trip into the city from any of our Dubrovnik villas, the UNESCO World Heritage Site Walls of Dubrovnik aren't hard to find! Originally constructed from limestone in the early middle ages and later reconstructed in the 13th century, the walls were created to protect the city from attack from both sea and land. Warding off Ottoman attackers from the land, pirate plundering from the sea and constant invasion threats from Turkish and Venetian forces. this collection of huge stone forts, walls and gates has kept the city safe for centuries.

More recently, the walls were attacked during the Yugoslav army siege of 1991-92, causing huge amounts of damage to many buildings in the area. Much more effective at resisting modern weaponry than many of the more modern buildings in the area, the walls were only slightly damaged, and with over $7m spent on restoration, they still stand today bearing the marks of the attacks they have defended the city from over the years.

Nowadays, the walls are known as the iconic shooting location for hit TV show Game of Thrones, and are a great place to enjoy the view over the colourful tiles of Dubrovnik's roofs and the breathtaking Adriatic Ocean.

Sponza Palace

If Dubrovnik's cultural history, administrative past and gorgeous Renaissance architecture interests you even slightly, Sponza Palace is a must see on your trip into the city from any of our villas in the Dubrovnik area. Buit with Gothic influences, this Renaissance style palace is deeply tied to every aspect of the city's history. From a treasury, bank and school, to an armoury and mint, the palace has been in full use since its construction in the 16th century. Despite guarding the most precious historical documentation of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik archive, the palace has become much more of a tourist attraction in recent years, with many performances taking place in the intricately decorated courtyard.

Walk up Mount Srd

Panoramic views of Dubrovnik don't get much better than from the top of Mount Srd, whether that's after a physically demanding hike or a relaxing cable car journey is up to you! At the top of this tall and rocky hill you're treated with views that stretch for over 30 miles on a clear day, over the top of Dubrovnik, the Old Town and all the way to the Adriatic Ocean's watery horizon. Whether you fancy the challenge of a rewarding hike or simply want some incredible photography opportunities, Mount Srd is well worth a visit.

A great way to truly experience life around our Dubrovnik villas, the locals who have manned the stalls and plied their trade for years are always eager to share their love of the city's vibrant culture as they sell their authentic Croatian goods.

Treat your tastebuds to a cultural adventure at either Gundulić Square or Lapad Market, both perfect for freshly caught seafood, locally grown produce and delicious baked goods. Although shopping when you're hungry is always a bad idea, these markets will have your stomach rumbling in minutes.

Pick up all your mementos and beautiful artisan crafts from Gruž or Ploče Market, with handmade jewelery and ceramics, intricate lacework, traditional textiles and other homemade gifts. Whether you're looking for something to keep for yourself or give to someone back home, check out these markets between 7:00 - 14:00 whenever you get chance Tuesday - Sunday.

Boat Excursions
