Manoir Ciel de Provence, Aix en Provence, Provence
Villa Summary
Manoir Ciel de Provence Overview
Enjoying an enviable position bordering extensive vineyards near Pont du Gard, one of Provence's most iconic landmarks, this enchanting country manor is the ideal place to experience the Provencal way of life. The show-stopping house dates back to the late 18th century, and has been impeccably restored and brought up-to-date with contemporary holiday home comforts including a heated pool, outdoor Jacuzzi and modern ensuite bathrooms.
The luxury villa to rent in the south of France has been decorated and furnished in very tasteful Provencal style, with many original features including coffered ceilings, huge stone fireplaces and vaulted archways. This villa is perfect for large family celebrations, as there are seven ensuite bedrooms and an additional ensuite dormitory recommended for children, with a further six beds.
The inviting pool takes centre stage within the beautifully landscaped grounds, equipped with poolside loungers out in the sun. Here you’ll also find the poolhouse, transformed into a summer kitchen with a barbecue and seating areas to escape the midday heat at lunchtime. The lawned areas of the garden are ideal for children to play, while the space around the rose garden and calming fountain is a particularly lovely spot for reading or socialising with friends and family. The outdoor areas are also romantically lit at night, where you can settle with a bottle of Provençal rosé beneath a canopy of stars. If you want to get out and about to explore your surroundings, Provence's main places of interest, historical sites and lively weekly markets are located within easy reach of this manor, including the 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct of Pont du Guard, Nimes, Arles and Avignon.

Resort Description
Embellished with peaceful gardens, art galleries, leafy squares and famous fountains, Aix (pronounced like the letter X) is one of the most beautiful and relaxing areas in the South of France. Renting a villa in Aix-en-Provence is the perfect starting point for exploring this beautiful university town, which has inspired many writers and artists over the years. Aix was the birthplace of post-impressionist painter Paul Cézanne, and you can trace his legacy through the many museums and galleries. One of the most enjoyable aspects of visiting Aix-en-Provence is wandering the charming, tree-lined streets of Cours Mirabeau, the city’s central boulevard. With fashionable cafés, upscale boutiques and impressive and 17th and 18th Century mansions, it’s a hub of activity and a lovely spot to savour the late-afternoon sunshine.
A villa holiday in Aix wouldn’t be complete without exploring the amazing markets, selling everything you need for the perfect Provençal picnic. Try the Aix specialty of calissons, a sweet made from almonds and crystalised melon. If you’re up for a day trip, consider the town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence close by, where Van Gogh painted 150 masterpieces.
