Knossos
Just a short drive away from our villas in Heraklion, Knossos Palace is an ancient Bronze Age archaeological site. The birthplace of the Greek myth of Theseus and the minotaur, the palace is steeped in myth and legend and provides an amazing insight into the history of the island. The earliest parts of the palace were constructed around 1900BC by the Minoan civilisation that called Crete their home, and was discovered by Minos Kalokairinos in 1877. Chania Old Town
