Villa Alba Mar

The villa is relatively old thus in some areas a little dated but they are clearly spending money to make improvements. So if you go right now expect a few wobbly door handles, not quite enough pots pans and crockery and a few areas in ned of a lick of paint. Kitchen area a little small but workable, living and dining area great, not that we spent any time in there as we were always outside! Bedrooms a nice size, beds firm but comfy, shower/bathrooms great. Outside space just PERFECT around the pool with the covered outside dining table so plenty of shade when needed. As for the pool, it was absolutely PERFECT, we paid to have it heated for the week and that's the best couple of hundred I've spent in a long while. Can't believe we were jumping in before 08:00 in the morning! Watch out for the description/comment that the bedrooms aunt adjoined to the main living room/kitchen. When you look at the floor layout drawing it clearly shows that they are joined, the wording is correct 'they are not'. So at night you essentially lock the living room area go into the bedroom 'wing' and lock that from the inside. Its all absolutely fine it was just me that gave more weight to the drawing and essentially ignored the warning words, and didn't take a close enough look at the pictures which make it fairly clear. Would I recommend it - absolutely it was fantastic, any of the negative comments above are just observations and things you notice and accept. The important thing is would we go back and to that the answer is YES! We had a Wonderfull family holiday. In terms of location it was awesome, it didn't seem to matter where you were heading out beach, supermarket, old town, medical centre everything was 8 minutes away by car! Oh with the pool in use pretty much all the time the level dropped quite quickly, we messaged Solmar and their AI bot and subsequent customer service was brilliant, they were on it immediately and followed up the following day to check it had been resolved by the 'supplier'. Interestingly we don't think their supplier send anybody round to sort it but in the end we just used the hose pipe and topped it up so it didn't starve the return filter inlet. I know its a review of the villa but just to say Solmar were brill throughout, including organising two hire cars for us with AVIS/Budget which was stress free - Great job Solmar, can't wit to book with you again!

Great villa, good location, would recommend a hire care as a good walk from the supermarket if you’re carrying things like bottle water. We had the pool heated Just great and the weather was perfect

Nice villa with excellent facilities in a good location in a gated complex which was very private and peaceful. Local bars
