Villa Ginevra Overview
Built in traditional Menorcan style, this pretty two-bedroom property is a great choice for a small family who want to relax in the Balearics. This stunning villa is situated in the resort of San Jaime with a lovely 3km beach, family-run bistros and laid back bars. A curved, private pool sits within a terracotta tiled terrace area with ample sun loungers. Menorca is famed for its pleasant climate, offering warm weather for dining al fresco. This villa has two outdoor dining areas and a traditional Spanish brick-built BBQ, so enjoy grilling some fresh fish for flipping a few burgers for all the family. Enter the property via a palm-lined pathway. Interiors are light and airy, with painted walls and ash flooring. The fabrics in the villa are calming, natural shades, save the odd dash of midnight blue, seen in the cushions and wall paintings. A modern, fully fitted kitchen and white wooden dining table and chairs also feature. The two bedrooms have a country chic vibe, with flowery quilts and wooden cladding on the walls. There are two bathrooms to share, one with a shower and the other housing a bath.
Menorca is a popular choice for its endless summer sunshine and array of activities for everyone. Sports enthusiasts love to windsurf or hike the countryside. It’s a lover’s paradise with enviable sunsets over a glass of champagne. Families can also easily entertain the kids at the myriad of waterparks, zoos and of course the beach.

Very clean villa, nicely decorated, lovely facilities and close to a good supermarket. A little far away from the main facilities of Son Bou, but that worked ok for us. Would be happy to return in the future.

Lovely villa- perfect for family of 4. Equipped with everything you need and clean and tidy. We stayed for a week when the temperature was 31 degrees, so the air conditioning was very welcome and the pool temperature was perfect. A well stocked supermarket is just across the road. It is a 20min walk into to Son Bou for beach/restaurants which needs to be taken into consideration if it is hot, Would thoroughly recommend.

The villa itself was lovely inside, well equipped except for small sharp knives and working cork screw. Outside eating area furniture very uncomfortable and totally different to pictures on website. Outside area very tired with overgrown gardens, depth signs on pool warn off, parasols torn, pool light not working. We still had a great holiday and will return to Menorca.

Villa and pool were clean and modern - exactly as the pictures suggest; beds and sofas were comfortable; Well planned - villa didn't get too hot in the daytime, table and chairs in the shade and air con efficient and quiet. Villa is on the edge of the resort as we wanted (quiet and peaceful) but can walk down or ride on the road train. Small supermarket directly opposite for essentials. Good base from which to explore the island.

have stayed at the resort many times, villa was fine nice quiet spot although handy for supermarket. was disappointed that the basics (milk, sugar, tea, coffee etc) were not left for late arrivals. Although on my return i did read your info in more depth and found that this was your policy.

The villa was in a great location with a small supermarket across the road. Annoyingly, there was no small, sharp knife for cutting fruit and veg, only three large meat/bread knives. Also desirable would have been a pair of kitchen scissors and a small, two person teapot. A portable stand for the parasol would also be beneficial, as there was only a fixed, concrete one, that could not be moved, as the sun moved during the day. We noted that the sister villa did have a white, portable parasol stand. Having said that, we were please that toilet paper and tea towels were provided, that our towels were changed mid-week and that there were no problems with ants or other insects. Finally, as the villa was directly opposite the hotel entrance, with its restaurant terrace overlooking the property, guests could look directly down the drive and through the arch, onto the pool area and front door. If a gate could be put in the archway we would not have felt so overlooked, especially when we used the pool and its steps. We felt our privacy (which is why we choose a villa over a hotel) was compromised! Most of these small issues could easily be rectified and if so, we would definitely rent this villa again and place it in the 'excellent ' category. The beach at Son Bou is one of the best we have visited and is ideal for families, with its clean, sandy beaches, warm sea and lifeguards.

The villa was in a good location, with a small supermarket across the road. The beach at Son Bou is one of the best sandy beaches we have ever visited, with the sea warmed by the gentle sandy slope. Ideal for families as life guards present.

The villa had a cool, light and lovely clean interior. The pool and exterior patio were nice and clean. Son Bou is walkable, if you are fit, so was the beach which is a nice stretch with shallow water suitable for small children. A hire car is a must if you wish to see the island, which we did. I did see a train just down the hill from where we stayed, so it would be worth getting a timetable for that. Taxi to Son bou £10 return, we only used it once as we had a hire car. Whole island has one form of Taxi service which is Radio Taxis so make sure you have the number. Supermarket across the road by the hotel sells most things.

Villa was modern and clean. It is on the edge of the resort, uphill, so only those with good mobility would be able to do without a car. It would be a good 15 minute walk (uphill all the way back) to the main restaurants, although the hotel opposite allows non-residents and has a supermarket attached.

The villa was easy to get to and was generally well equipped with a few minor exceptions, the quality of the villa finish and cleaning was 1st class, the resort catered for all ages and was nicely placed to explore the island with ease

The villa was just perfect for us, spacious, clean, light and airy, and a comfortable bed! All we needed for a chill-out week in the sunshine. Located away from the commercial centre, at the far end of the resort, it was quiet and relaxing, with the convenience of a small supermarket in the hotel over the road and also on the route of the Cami cavalls footpath - which is a lovely walk through the nature reserve and farm land to the end of the fantastic Son Bou beach. From there you can walk the length of the sands back to the resort centre or continue to the right on the cavalls path along the Rocky coastline on a scenic, level, half hour walk to Sant Tomas. The only negatives were that there is only one English tv channel (sky news!) Which didn't bother us as we spent most of our time outside, and we also thought that a net would have been useful for de-bugging the pool on the days that the pool cleaner didn't attend. Overall we had a fantastic time and would definitely book another holiday with Solmar villas!
