Alta Mar

The villa is perfect for a large group. Enormous living areas, multiple kitchens, ample space around the large pool and all rooms are ensuite. We had some young babies in our group and the downstairs area is like a separate, quiet apartment with 2 bedrooms, its own kitchen and bathrooms, so that was great for those operating on a different schedule to those upstairs. The decor is fine, with lots of glasses and crockery etc. Great quiet location walking distance to Cova d’en Xoroi, the town centre with bars and restaurants, and the gorgeous beach. Quite a hilly walk but that was fine for us. The views are stunning, with the sun setting over the ocean. Ocean views from most rooms with lots of terraces for quiet areas to sit. Check in was easy and the Solmar team were very responsive to any issues.

We chose this Villa as it looked perfect for a family of 9 celebrating two special birthday’s. The pictures showed a well presented Villa with all home from home comfort’s. We arrived at the Villa and it is nothing like the pictures advertised on Solmar Villa’s. I was very disappointed the Villa is very worn and certainly not worth what we paid to stay there for a week. We paid than we usually would as it was a special occasion and we wanted to splash out and go for a Villa slightly more than what we would normally pay to stay in a Villa in Cala n Porter. We were unable to check in earlier or drop our bags off but they did recommend somewhere we could leave bags as long as we bought something in the restaurant which we did and was very nice. The toaster broke during our stay and was quickly replaced. When you get your welcome email is says check in 4pm strictly and check out 10am strictly however the cleaners arrived on our departure morning at 9.30 and proceed to empty our kitchen which we hadn’t finished with for example tipped our bottles of water down the sink etc, I understand it’s a large VIlla but plenty of outside areas they could clean before actually entering the main villa kitchen. This Villa was a 10-15 minute walk to the centre up hill which was fine by us. The views are lovely and a holiday is what you make it and we certainly did that but the Villa was not up to standard, you can get good sized villas better than Altamar and with a better price tag. Would even think twice about booking with Solmar Villas again.

Beautiful Villa , fabulous views. Family loved the swimming pool, good under cover lounger area around the pool. Bedroom's good. Aircon excellent. We all had a great time sad to leave the villa.
