Villa Raquel Blanes

The ground floor of villa was nice however the first floor bedroom did not have air-conditioning. The unit on the landing does nothing. Difficult to sleep due to heat. Pool pumps stayed on for the whole time we were there and very noisy. Plus one of the air-conditioning fan (downstairs) was very noisy. Some pool tiles were also missing from the bottom of the pool

The property was ideally located for the beach, shops and restaurants. But although the property had 4 bedrooms and could sleep 8, the living space didn’t comfortably accommodate 8 people. As can be seen in the pictures both tables, inside and out p, could only fit 6 people, which was a real issue for us.. When we raised this issue a new table was delivered, although I am surprised this had not been addressed before. We had other minor issues that again were quickly addressed by the team at Talayots. The fridge and cupboard space felt too small for 8 people and the crockery cupboard was poorly designed set in the corner with shelves too high to reach easily without standing on a chair which was hazardous. The was just sufficient crockery for one sitting with very little spare which was awkward too. As a family we tended to eat in fairly often and there wasn’t really the equipment for preparing and serving food that we could expect. Final comment, we had an armed policeman with an environmental agent arrive at the villa one afternoon, with a neighbour, this was very disturbing, especially for our young grandchildren, I did raise this with the villa manager, who said she was ill and did not see the message, on the day we departed I rang her and she said she would investigate and come back to me, I have still not heard anything. This is something we should not have had to deal with. Happy to discuss any of the points I have raised.

Our initial opinion was disappointing. The Villa is very tired, bed linen very worn and stained mattress protectors. There was even a musty smell when we opened the door and the living room was much smaller than the pictures. Sofas to sit 4 people in an 8 person Villa. But the pool was lovely! Although we didn’t use the bbq because that was disgusting. We did cook one evening but struggled with the lack of equipment.
