As you'd expect from any resort in Mallorca, Cala San Vicente is well known for its beautiful beaches and year-round sunshine. The area has three main beaches, each with a relaxed vibe, stretches of sand, and a deep blue sea.

Cala Barques

Tourists flock to Cala Barques due to its large stretches of sand and calm water. It's the place that suits the whole family, with sunbeds available for rent and regular lifeguards on duty.

Cala Clara

Cala Clara is the best choice if you're looking for a quiet spot to relax and take in the sunshine. It's relatively close to Cala Barques but is slightly off the beaten track and not as frequented as other beaches.

However, while there is plenty of sand and sea, it's not a touristy beach, so most people only stay for a few hours.

Cala Molins

If you're looking for sandy bays and excellent swimming spots, you can't go wrong with Cala Molins. Cala Molins has unique sand that refills yearly, so the beach always looks spotless and vibrant. While it's popular with tourists, it still retains a an intimate feel.

Majorca is a lively destination with some fantastic spots for nighttime entertainment. However Cala San Vicente isn't as lively as other destinations, it's better suited for people who prefer a quieter environment.

The evenings here are usually spent eating and drinking in one of the many bars and restaurants, so if it's nightlife you're after, you can find it in the nearby resorts. Alcudia, for example, is 20 minutes away and has plenty of clubs for you to dance the night away.

If you like to immerse yourself in the local culture when you're on holiday, Cala San Vicente won't let you down. It specialises in Mediterranean cuisine offering an abundance of seafood restaurants. In terms of drinks, you'll find plenty of authentic options and fine wines, but Mallorca is known for its powerful Palo de Mallorca cocktail.

Restaurante Cala Barques

Restaurante Cala Barques is slightly more upmarket and specialises in fresh seafood. The setting, menu and staff will make you feel immediately at home. In peak season, a Cuban band plays at the restaurant too.

Pizzeria Polo

There's nothing like traditional pizza, is there? Forget the deep pan grease filled American style options and head to Pizzeria Polo for freshly baked pasta, pizza and grilled meat. You'll eat well here, and even better, the kids will love it too.

Activities and day trips in Cala San Vicente

As one of the smaller resorts in Mallorca, Cala San Vicente is ideal for people who enjoy nature and getting outdoors. While there aren't many historical sites in the area, a short drive opens up plenty of fun things to do:

Day trip to Alcudia

Alcudia oozes historical charm, especially its Medieval old town, which is perfect for an afternoon stroll. In the morning, you could visit the Roman ruins, marvel at old churches, and then check out the beaches.

Pollensa

Pollensa has terrific attractions and rich history, making it one of the most popular resorts. Better still, it's only 10 minutes away from Cala San Vicente! With its ancient Roman bridge, old cathedrals and stunning cobbled streets, you'll enjoy getting lost here for a few hours.

Palma de Mallorca

Visit Mallorca's city centre for a full day of fun. There's much to do here, including visiting old cathedrals and castles or strolling around the Old Town.

Visit the Drach Caves

Located an hour from Cala San Vicente are the Drach Caves - one of Mallorca's most beautiful natural sites. Many local companies offer half-day tours, or you can rent a car and make the drive yourself.

Take a boat tour

Cala San Vicente is a great location to take in the ocean views, explore one of the many islands from, and find some fantastic spots to go snorkelling. Simply take a boat tour and get out on the water for a fun day at sea.
