Villa Costa Rica

Villa Costa Rica is a lovely village situated in a quiet residential area. It is located only a couple of minutes walk from a local supermarket, cafe, restaurant and Galé beach with other amenities located 20 minutes walk away in Vale De Parra. The Villa itself was very spacious, clean and tidy with a well appointed kitchen, modern living area and comfortable bedrooms. The Villa also features a games room complete with a pool table in the basement area/lower ground floor, however we felt as though this space could be better utilised as other than some mismatched furniture, a non-functioning fridge and the pool table there wasn’t much else down there for such a large space. We got the impression that the room had been very under utilised for a long time and it did smell quite musty. If the area was modernised and improved it would likely see more use by future guests. The pool and garden area was tidy and well kept with the gardener/pool cleaner visiting during our stay, there were plenty of sunloungers and pool umbrellas available for use around the pool - these all appeared relatively new and were very good. The only let down was the lack of a comfortable sitting area outside - whilst there was an outdoor dining table under a canopy, there was not any comfortable chairs or furniture to sit by the pool and relax in. Having to sit at the outdoor dining table is not the most comfortable, but there weren’t any other options unfortunately. In addition, the canopy covering the outside dining area was more of a hindrance than a help due to the fact it is a thin fabric covering. It is also beginning to look quite tatty and decrepit and was not of any use during the couple of days when it rained during our stay - in fact the water would collect and pool on top of the fabric before spilling over and down onto the table below. This made an already wet area even more so. Overall to summarise, I would recommend this Villa and would happily stay again. However, I hope my feedback and comments are taken onboard in order to further improve this Villa.

Villa was fantastic - plenty of living/dining space, 4 large bedrooms with full en-suites and a huge basement room with pool/snooker table and more living space. Pool a good size and garden/outdoor space well kept. Location very handy for Gale beach and Apolonia supermarket - a 5 minute walk to both. Very well equipped kitchen for dining in. Great value for money (although our week was reduced!) Highly recommended for a great Algarve holiday.

Villa is great. it is convenient for a very good supermarket, the beach and local restaurants. The pool and outside areas are great. Beds are comfortable and it is very spacious. Kitchen well equipped, but it's a shame there isn't a little welcome pack free of charge - to include water and milk etc. Important to realise that no toilet paper to be disposed of down the toilets. The purchased welcome pack was disappointing and the brochure of dos and donts sounded draconian at times.
