Located to the west of the lively resort of Albufeira, the peaceful haven of Castelo is the perfect base for enjoying the sights of the Algarve. The breathtaking Castelo beach is surrounded by impressive cliffs and castle shaped rock formations which is where this resort gains its name. Castelo is a quiet residential area making it perfect for relaxing holidays and still offers a selection of bars, restaurants and a supermarket. The nearby resort of Albufeira, known for its fantastic sandy beaches and sizzling nightlife, is conveniently 10 minutes away.

We had a magical week at Casa Pluma. The location is perfect. You can walk to the most beautiful beach with a great beach bar for coffee, drinks and dinner. There is easy walking access to a supermarket and lots of really good restaurants. Jompra and Dom Dinis were favourites. Definitely worth booking. Easy access to Albufeira whilst ening in a really quiet suburb. We went to the marina which is beautiful and our boat trip was simply perfect. A day out in the mountains was a real treat and it is definitely worth spending time in Faro. The old town is stunning. The villa is well equipped, impeccably clean and very spacious. Great pool, big enough for a decent swim, deep and immaculately maintained. We had a couple of problems at the start in the villa which the villa manager sorted really quickly and efficiently, which made our stay perfect. We were sad to leave and see already planning to return next spring.
