Welcome to Nissaki, Corfu, Greece

Holiday Villas in Nissaki, Corfu

All with a private pool

More of an area than a village, Nissaki clings to the steep foothills below Mount Pantocrator, the highest peak on the island, between Barbati to the south and Sinies to the north in the heart of the north-east coast of Corfu

This area is blessed with such natural beauty every turn of the road will reveal a new view to take your breath away! Albania is so close across the Corfu Channel you feel you could almost swim over, The backdrop of Pantocrator soaring above the coastline is ever present and the many beaches, ranging from tiny rocky and pebble bays to stretches of white pebble and shingle beach beckon.

There are several “centres” to Nissaki. The small beach to the southern end offering a few beachside tavernas, a couple of shops and a watersports centre where small self drive boats can be hired from the harbour to the rear of the beach. From here you can take the coastal footpath and visit other tiny bays for a quiet swim or even snorkel, there’s so much to see in the crystal clear water.

Going north brings you to the traditional village centre where the church and cafeneion (local Greek café) provide a meeting place for the locals and a selection of mini markets, bakery, shops and restaurants await.

For the intrepid or very fit, the glorious beach of Kaminaki is fabulous for children, gently shelving in a semi  enclosed bay but approached by a very steep hill….. several tavernas await you at the bottom to provide a cool drink or snack. Kaminaki also offers boat hire and a water ski school .  Just around the headland from here is Krouzeri…a divers’ haven with its long stretch of pebbly beach, family taverna and rocky outcrops at the north and southern borders of the beach .A full water sports school operates from this beach as well.

A holiday in Nissaki is all about the sea and lots of water based activities are on offer – it’s the ideal place to take a boat trip to Corfu Town or up to the Northern point of the island at Kassiopi. There isn’t much in the way of nightlife, just a few low key bars, so lively teenagers may want to head to nearby Ipsos or Kassiopi which are both around 15 minutes drive away but there is a great choice of restaurants for couples or families ranging from Greek and simple to gourmet.

All holiday villas in Nissaki that Solmar offer have fantastic panoramic sea views …so if you enjoy just sitting on the balcony in peace listening to the cicades and loosing yourself in the view, Nissaki is perfect for you.
