Lefkas lays claim to some of the best beaches in all of the Mediterranean, with an array of soft sandy beaches backed by dramatic white cliffs from coast to coast.
Along the eastern coastline you’ll find the majority of the villas in Lefkas, with beaches within walking distance, and all serviced by a range of tavernas and cafes.
Head west and it’s a different story, with completely secluded stretches of sand facing the azure blue waves. On Lefkas’ south coast, you'll find many picturesque beaches including Agios Ioannis beach, others however are accessible only by boat, making them untouched spots of paradise.
Agios Georgios beach
Agios Georgios is a beach on the west coast with a great view of Lefkas Town and its castle. It’s also famous for its crystal clear waters, which are ideal for snorkeling. The beach is very small and narrow, but it’s just fine if you want to relax in solitude and enjoy a spot of sunbathing.
Glyfada beach
Glyfada is one of the most popular beaches in Lefkas because it has long stretches of sand with shallow water, making it perfect for families with kids, as well as those who want to swim safely without protruding rocks. Glyfada Beach also offers plenty of water sports such as scuba diving lessons and boat hire rentals so you can explore other parts of the island.
Kavalikefta beach
Kavalikefta is the best beach for windsurfing, with strong winds that whip through the area throughout the year. The beach is also great for snorkeling and diving, with lots of underwater life to discover. You can spend hours walking along the shore or just sitting in a chair on its soft sand, watching people come and go.
Egremni Beach
Located in the village of Egremni, this is a sandy beach with shallow waters making it a good place to swim. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag certification by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and is one of only 10 beaches in Greece to hold this distinction.
Kalami beach
Kalami Beach is located near Koutouloufari village. If you like surfing or paddle boarding then this is the spot for you. If that's not your thing, then you can simply relax and enjoy the panoramic views and beautiful scenery.
