Ai Helis is a sleepy coastal area just south of the traditional village of Svoronata in Leivathos and only around 15 minutes drive from the capital town, Argostoli. Ai Helis offers a glorious deep bay of golden sand and shallow crystal clear water gazing out at the tiny islet of Zeus and backed by cliffs. Along the cliff edge are some very exclusive Greek summer homes and holiday villas.
The beach offers a small snack bar in high summer as well as sunbeds and parasols for rent and it is popular for beach volley games in the late afternoon. Just inland are a smattering of tavernas, restaurants and a couple of mini markets to choose from all within a few minutes easy stroll along country lanes whilst the larger supermarkets are just a short drive away. Apart from Argostoli itself there are also a few places of interest within 10 minutes drive of Ai Helis – including the Castle of St. George and St. Andreas Monastery which are both well worth a visit. For a change of scenery, the stunning beaches of Avithos, Megalipetra and Ammes are close by to name just a few.

Only just booked holiday, but all good so far. Phoned for advice, call was answered quickly and query resolved. Booked online and there was an issue with flights not appearing on confirmation. Called again, picked up straight away and advised flights would be added manually on system. They appeared almost immediately with follow up email, so very impressed with service. Looking forward to holiday and receiving additional information from their ‘concierge service’. If the rest of the holiday process is as good as the initial booking, I’ll recommend without hesitation.

Managed to speak to someone quickly and they emailed information promptly and had listened to what I needed so service was good.. spoke to someone different the next day and all the information had been recorded so the conversation was easy . Biggest benefit was talking to a real person and not having to navigate lots of AI conversations /options .
The phone is answered quickly, staff are polite, helpful and knowledgeable. If you have a query they are always happy to help or sort any problems. We would definitely recommend Solmar.

To access the villa there is a path which is 100cm wide, leading to the front door which is 90cm wide. The lounge door and kitchen/dining room door are both 100cm wide. To access the pool/terrace area there is a door which is 100cm wide, the path to the pool is 100cm wide. The perimeter of the pool is grassed, however from the terrace to the pool it is paved. The pool has steps. The ground floor bedroom doors and the ground floor bathroom doors are 70cm wide, the bathroom is a shower type. There are 14 steps leading to the first floor. The first floor bedroom door is 75cm wide and the first floor bathroom door is 70cm wide, this is a shower type bathroom.
