A tranquil Greek village where you can escape the crowds, yet in close proximity to lively towns and beaches – when you choose a villa holiday in Kalathos in eastern Rhodes, you get to enjoy the best of both worlds. Blessed with a year-round dry and sunny climate, this ancient hillside village is truly charming and boasts amazing sea views. Pick up spinach pies or sweet baklava dripping in honey from the local bakery and watch how to make traditional Greek pottery at the small factory – perfect for souvenirs. The secluded sand-and-shingle beach at Kalathos Bay is just a 15-minute stroll away and one of the longest and most quiet beaches on the island. The crystal-clear and shallow waters are ideal for young children and wooden sun beds and bamboo umbrellas are available for rent. After your sunshine fix, there are a handful of small restaurants and a supermarket on the adjacent road and several family-run tavernas back in the village, serving traditional meze and Greek dishes such as moussaka and kleftiko, using recipes passed down over many generations. For more action, the village is just four kilometres away from the lively resort of Lindos, home to fantastic shopping, restaurants and buzzing nightlife. This villa is in a hilly/mountainous area and the outside space is uneven with lots of steps. To access the villa there is a path which is 100cm wide alongside 35 steps. There is no ramp access to the villa. The front door has a width of 80cm, whilst the other access doors are 100cm wide. The grounds from the villa to the terrace/pool area are hilly, with a path width of 100cm. The pool itself does not have Roman steps and there is no ramp access to the pool.
There are no internal steps/change in height noted within the villa, however there are 28 steps to the first floor. There is a ground floor bedroom and bathroom. The ground floor bedroom door has a width of 76cm and the ground floor bathroom door has a width of 68cm. The ground floor bathroom has a shower. The first floor bedroom door has a width of 80cm and the first floor bathroom door has a width of 68cm. The first floor bathroom has a shower.
