Villa Paparouna

The villa was very comfortable, beds were also large and comfortable including pillows. Everything was very clean and the outside and pool were also cleaned by a lovely gentleman. We have booked through solmar last year to same place but different villa (next door to last years stay) This villa we preferred for the outside table space but the pool did have a yellowing tide mark (no fault of the man that cleans them as this looks like a historic issue) There were signs of damp and the villa smelt a little damp and evident on the walls of the villa. In the second bedroom there were a few bulbs out and the shower leaked flooding through to the floor. The main bedroom en-suite also had damp patches on the wall and ceiling and couldn’t get the tele to work in the bedroom, not that we watched it at all anyway….so these were issues that didn’t really bother us or impact the holiday as the surrounding environment and the rest of the villa with the privacy and pool absolutely out weighed this. Just something that maybe the owner needs to address. This area Ginnadi has a small village with a choice of restaurants that are walking distance, little supermarket, fruit and veg shop, bakery. All that you need for a relaxing, easy, stress free holiday especially if you don’t want to drive anywhere. Also nice bar that served breakfast and cocktails (not necessarily together!) we usually would chose to go to a different place each year but this is our second time to Ginnadi with Solmar and we will be booking for next year. If you want somewhere that is private, a well equipped, comfortable villa with own pool that is also very private and an area for lounging and eating where you can relax and not be bothered by anyone with everything you need on your doorstep then this is definitely a very good option.

Has been neglected Villa has numerous small problems that need fixing including outside shower not working... Gaps in the mosquito screens... Broken shower fixings... Washing up sink hot water very slow... Shower light not working. There is also building work going in the field at the rear and very noisy. They have put the prices up considerably over past 3 yrs and is now too expensive for the quality of the villa.

Second time at Gennadi Residences and villa Paparouna was even better than the villa we stayed in last time. Rocco was amazing as always. So helpful and considerate. Last time we stayed was with James Villas and no sign of the rep but this time with Solmar we had an amazing rep who visited us on our first and last day. Really helpful. The villa is stunning. Clean and really practical. The pool area just great. Gennadi village is only a 5 minute walk away and the beach only 10 minutes. Such an unforgettable stay and can’t wait to come back.
