Villa Ponti Overview
Perched on the hillside above the fantastic seaside village of Vasiliki, Villa Ponti affords breath-taking views over the local area and out to the cobalt blue waters of the bay. A scenic fifteen minute stroll downhill will take you to the beginning of Vasiliki’s long sand and shingle beach with a few amenities, and the resort centre, with a wider choice of dining options, is just a little further along the beach or five minutes from the villa by car.
Inside the villa, sunlight floods in through the abundance of wide patio doors and windows, and the lounge and all three bedrooms are strategically located at the front of the villa to make the most of the views. Outside, a fabulous covered terrace stretches along the length of the villa, perfect for a barbecue as the sun goes down. From here steps lead down to a sun-soaked terrace surrounding the swimming pool, where you will no doubt spend many peaceful days. For those seeking some action during their holiday a range of water activities are available on the beachfront, in particular windsurfing which Vasiliki has become particularly famous for over the past few years, a spectacular kaleidoscope when the surfers are demonstrating their talents.

Resort Description
There were many obvious reasons why we were initially attracted to the seaside village of Vasiliki, the staggeringly beautiful bay, the kindliness of the local people, the inviting azure Ionian Sea and the apparent countless choice of walking paths and mountain biking trails which zigzag up and along the surrounding hillside.
After we had visited this idyllic spot a couple of times, the draw of this thoroughly charming village worked its magic on us, and now when we think of Lefkas, we instantly think of Vasiliki. A more colourful and mesmerizing bay we have seldom stumbled across, especially when the wind surfers are proudly demonstrating their talents in the vast safe bay which Vasiliki has become justifiably renowned. A total joy to observe, and ever so alluring.

I have been to many places around the world. But when we opened the blinds on Monday morning. All I can say is WOW!!!! It has one of the best views I have EVER seen. Not only that the villa was Immaculate and the Housekeeper/Pool cleaner were lovely as well. I have been using Solmar Villa's for 8 years now and we have never had a bad one. The villa has great views over Vasiliki, surrounding countryside and across to other islands and is very peaceful. Accommodation was modern and roomy and outside areas on 2 levels great with plenty of furniture. It is a bit too far away from the village restaurants in Vasiliki for walking (other nearer ones were all closed mid October) so a car was essential. We felt the kitchen was lacking some basic essentials but it had modern appliances. An unspoilt corner of Greece to relax in.

We loved the amazing view from Villa Ponti, the pool and pool area were great, outside terras with sunshade was a prime spot to sit and relax. Villa is spacious enough for a family of 5 or 6, or (as evidenced by the neighbours) 2 couples with children. The Solmar agency was great.

We loved everything about the villa Ponti the views were amazing and the Villa is really large and well equipped . The pool is in a lower level so it was easy to make sure the children couldn’t get down there without adults. The only issue we had was it said a 15 minute walk to Vasiliki it was in fact not somewhere you could walk to with children as it was easily an hours walk each way.

Excellent location, great views, large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and very friendly staff. Only problem was mosquitoes so adding some repellant devices would be great. Also putting shower curtains would be helpful. Other than that, we had a great stay at a great price!

Villa Ponti was superb! Everything in the villa was nice - big rooms, big beds, aircon, loads of hot water and a great fridge. The views were fantastic and the two patios gave us a huge amount of outside space. Not far into town which is down hill, but not so great to walk back-up - we got a taxi! There is a restaurant about 200m down the road which serves good value for money meals and the staff are really helpful - one evening they took us home and took our teenagers into town in their minibus. There are lots of restaurants at the bottom of the hill and further over by the port. The owner of the villa was really helpful - we had a couple of things missing that he sorted in a matter of hours which was great - we also locked ourselves out and he came straight away! Overall, a lovely villa in a good location.

Villa Ponti was an absolutely fantastic choice for a holiday - It was perfectly located above the small village of Pondi with superb views over the bays across to the harbour of Vassiliki on one side and the stunning mountains to another. The Villa was very well equipped and the cleanliness level was astounding - We took our 15 month old daughter and I had no concerns whatsoever about letting her play on the floor. The resort of Vassiliki was gorgeous - just enough Tavernas and shops to cover needs and not be over-facing and retain its "Sleepy Fishing Village" feel. Would recommend this Resort and Villa to anyone wanting a first class, relaxing holiday.

Rated: Excellent. The Villa is in superb location overlooking the coast. The villa itself is well equipped and well maintained. If you like windsurfing, this is a dream resort. Whilst a car is needed for shopping and getting about, on several occasions we walked to the harbour which is about 2 miles and takes around 45 minutes. Coming back uphill is a little longer, but there is a cut through. There is a restaurant about 500m down from the villa. The area of Ponti (1,2km) has a few good restaurants and bars and the harbour has many more inexpensive great fish choices. The people are friendly and one night the waiter gave us a lift home rather than wait for taxi, wanting nothing for the ride. We will certainly go back at some point in the future. Another plus is that it is only just over an hour's drive from the airport.

The villa is at the roadside, so you can expect some road noise and there is a villa directly next door that overlooks pool and terrace area. If total peace and quiet and privacy is essential, this is not the one for you. We found lots to do on the island. There are fantastic beaches, watersports and walking. Food was good in all the restaurants we visited and local supermarkets and shops are well stocked. People were really friendly. If you like your tv there is just the one english channel. Dvd fine but you have to stand on a chair to put dvds in and swap the scart lead over. Local rep was lovely. Wifi was good for catching up on emails and planning next days activities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
