Villa Orion

The villa was clean with comfortable beds in a quiet location. The views were breath taking. The air conditioning worked very well. The swimming pool was lovely and well maintained. I did not like the internal metal stairs. Felt there could have been more toilet rolls. (went to Australia in January and all the apartments etc were more thoughtfully equipped)

Die Buchung mit Solmar Villa und die Betreuung bei einer Vielzahl von Fragen war wirklich top - wenngleich die Antworten auch manchmal ihre Zeit brauchten. Man hatte sich auch gekümmert, dass eine Person über dem Limit untergebracht werden konnte - was sich dann aber doch zerschlagen hatte. Zur Villa selbst: Diese befindet sich in außerordentlicher Lage. 180 Grad Sicht auf das Meer. Einfach nur ein Traum. Die Räume sind gehoben ausgestattet. Gestört hat uns, dass keinerlei Gewürze und nur ein einziges Geschirrtuch vorhanden waren. Das Kochgeschirr war für ein 6 Personen Haus nicht angemessen. Eine Pfanne mit Waffelmuster war für viele Sachen ungeeignet (alles bäckt an). Es gab leider keine Kaffeemaschine, nur eine Kaffeepad-Maschine - ohne Grundausstattung an Pads. Dass es nicht einmal 6 Löffel gab - wurde auf Nachfrage schnell ausgeglichen. Auch eine Reparaturanfrage wurde umgehend - dies sogar am Sonntag erledigt. Überall waren Fliegengitter vorhanden, was sehr positiv war. Sonst wären auch die Katzen hereinspaziert. Einen Willkommensgruß (Getränk, Aufmerksamkeit etc.) gibt es nicht - was wir bisher durchweg bei Häusern in der Preisklasse anders erlebt haben. Aber dies ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau ;o) Bei den wenigen zu kritsierenden Details hatten wir dennoch eine tolle Zeit in der Villa Orion - die den Urlaub perfekt gemacht hat. Vielen Dank an das Team von Solmar Villas und dem Eigentümer für dieses tolle Haus.

When we arrived at Villa Orion the beds had been changed but nothing had been cleaned properly. The previous occupants towels were left on the loungers and their food was still in the (dirty) cupboards. We contacted Solmar who told us that they had forgotten it was their day to leave and so the cleaner hadn’t had time to clean the villa. Solmar offered to pay for a meal out as an apology and the villa owner arranged for a cleaner to come back that evening. All of this could have been avoided if they had just communicated with us before we got to the villla! During the week, one of the smoke alarms was bleeping all night because it had run out of batteries. We took it down only to realise that other smoke alarms must have been removed by previous holidaymakers, because they were all shoved in a drawer. We notified Solmar and then returned to our villa the next day after a morning out to find the villa owner and other maintenance people in the villa. We were given no notice about this and not asked whether they could come in. The villa itself was nice with lovely views but unfortunately all of these issues mean we would not return and cannot recommend Solmar villas.
