Villa Drepanou Bay

A lovely stay at this villa, such a beautiful place, lovely views to just sit and watch the world go by. The villa was lovely, and had everything we needed. We loved the area not heaving with tourists and on the quieter side of things. Just fantastic. Thank you.

We had an amazing week at Villa Drepanou Bay. The villa was even nicer than the pictures on the Solmar website – downstairs was a lovely open plan sociable space with absolutely fantastic views both from inside and outside. Very luxurious, comfortable and well equipped – we had everything we needed! Wonderful garden and pool area, with long views to the sea and mountains beyond. The villa is in a great location; Highlights - we loved the tiny village of Katouna – a 10 or 15 minute walk up the road – where there is a fantastic family run taverna which we ate delicious food on more than one occasion! Loved exploring the mountain villages in our hire car (a bit hairy at times with the hair pin bends, but great fun). We also rented a boat from Nidri on one day – very easy – and explored some of the nearby bays including a visit to Vathy on Ithaca for our lunch. Thank you to George and to the Solmar team for such a great time.

A nice walk in the evenings to eat out in resort and a day on the nearby beach was perfect. The villa is well equipped and has a nice homely feel. The sandwich maker was full of food and unusable. I realise this is the fault of previous occupants, but clearly the cleaning is not up to standard. The fitted sheets for the bed were too small for the bed, so until the maid changed them mid week, it was extremely uncomfortable. A little bit of a strange layout internally, but has everything you need, including strong wifi for the youngsters. Can't fault Solmar Villa's fast, friendly, efficient service either., 09/08/2023,PRODUCT,Roger Mackness,2,solmar-villas,2604,As documented with various phone calls:wifi didn't work for two daysAir con didn't come on during the day for three days, with the temps we had over there we should have access to air con far more than we had. we were told this is government imposed restrictions, this is not the case for private rented dwellings. one bedroom dirty when we got there with a messy toilet as well, brown marks on towel. very busy road 100 yards away, noisy. private road to Villa in such a bad state taxi drivers unwilling to pick us up in some occasions as its well know among the taxi drivers.fridge doesn't work that well, outside lounge bed sat on pallets. generally tired and certainly not worth £5700. I'm sure this won't be posted on your website!"
