At the very southernmost tip of Kefalonia island a popular beach resort has grown up around the charming village of Skala.

The main attraction of this area was the endless expanse of stunning sand beach, but the village centre – now offering a varied choice of tavernas, mini markets, shops and cafe’s has grown with the addition of some rather chic restaurants and bars along the beach front and several “boutique” hotels.

A walk up into the hills behind Skala brings you back to another era as you explore the ruins of the old village destroyed in the earthquake in the last century. Skala has become probably the most “sought after” holiday resort on Kefalonia in recent years – and it’s easy to see why.

Excellent outdoor space and very nice inside too. The pool was great and there was always shade on the terrace for those who wanted it. A lovely resort and a peaceful location for the villa, which was what we wanted.

Brilliantly positioned villa even with the walk up the hill from the town. The owner Nikon, was very helpful and friendly. We had one or two problems but he resolved them within a very short period. We were a family party of six adults and would have no hesitation in booking again. Loved it😀

The villa is situated in a beautiful location, walking distance down a hill to the centre of Skala. Although the hill is a bit steep it is manageable if you take your time. It overlooks the see and the hills snd the sea surrounding Skala. Although perhaps the bathrooms might need a little updating the villa as a hole had everything you might need and more and was spotless. A great surprise was having someone every day to empty the bins and mid week having the bedding and towels changed. I would certainly return to the villa.

The villa has 4 steps for access and a path that is 400cm wide. The front door is 80cm wide and the other doors to access the pool are also 80cm wide. The paths from the villa to the pool are 150cm wide and the ground is flat. There are 4 steps to the poolside, which is a mixture of crazy paving, tiles and lawn. Inside, the ground floor bedroom and bathroom doors are 70cm wide. There are 20 cm to to the first floor.
