Villa Seascape

Villa Seascape really is all about the view as without it this would just be a very dated and rather ordinary property. There are signs throughout that improvements are being made, with new outside furniture and two of the three bathrooms now being fitted with walk in showers rather than the baths shown in the pictures, but further work is required internally in particular. Having said that we did enjoy our stay, everything was clean and the weather was such that we spent most of our time outside - admiring what is admittedly a very good view.

Plus points - superb views, lovely good sized pool, very private and not overlooked, nice firm beds, good aircon in bedrooms, good smart TV (with Netflix etc.). Nicely furnished and clean, lovely outside seating areas on all 3 levels. Negative points - not particularly well equipped. Only 2 of us stayed in this 3 bed villa and there were only 2 thin dishcloths that were not cleaned / replaced in a fortnight, only one metal tray for the oven, ALL of the tea cups were chipped, two beach/pool towels not changed, only 1 bin liner left for us, so had to buy our own, same with dishwasher tablets. Dishwasher didn’t work (rinse) properly and was extremely small (slimline) for the size of villa. All of the above were relatively small things, but for the price point did show a slight lack of attention to detail which was a little disappointing. Had we been a party of 6 people, these things would have been a significantly bigger issue. The biggest negative for us was nothing to do with the villa, but every afternoon from about 230pm until mid evening, we could hear quite loud thumping music, which we assumed was coming from the seafront, however, the maid told us this was coming from Ksamil, in Albania, some 2.5 miles over the water. Whilst the volume changed frequently with the direction of the wind, the base sound was very annoying every day. This alone was enough for us to decide not to return to this part of Corfu in future, which is sad as we have stayed in many villas on this hillside over the years.

Great location. Excellent supply of towels. Pool will as very clean. Nice they provided tea and coffee and milk and honey and bread to start us off.
