Coral Olympus Artemis

The property itself was beautiful in a great location a 2 minute walk from a couple of local bars and shops. The pool was a good size and the outside area was perfect for our party of 8 adults, room for everyone in the sun or shade and space to spread out. The inside of the villa had some issues which Solmar did their best to solve as soon as we reported them but the villa needs a refurbishment this winter. On arrival we discovered part of one of the bathroom ceilings on the floor and one of the bedroom door handles hanging off. I contacted Solmar and someone was out the following day to look at this. It transpired that the shower in the bathroom above had caused the damage to the ceiling and they needed to replace the shower tray and reseal which couldn’t be done whilst we were there so we continued to just sweep up as and when more of the ceiling came down. The handle on the door was fixed but 2 days later it happened again so we just stopped closing the door, it also happened to a bathroom door.

Run down Villa, what is used for photos to promote the Villa is mis-representation!! All the furniture is tired and needs replacing, fridge freezer leaks, oven /Hob is terrible, broken and dated, had to swap around lightbulbs from the outside to other lights, no privacy locks in any doors, not good when you have 7no people in a villa!! Kitchen utensils pretty much useless, a toaster that is broken and can only toast 2 slices of bread for a 10 person villa. Shower curtains ripped and old, like the curtains to the patio doors….you expect at least the basics but didn’t even have that!! If Solmar Villas have reps to make sure the villas are suitable that this particular person needs to find another Job!! First day at the villa phoned Solmar as the pool was unclean, debri including bottles in the pool, twice contacted Solmar, got the pool cleaned in the 2nd week, had to clean the pool myself, kept getting Algae in the pool as just not enough Chlorine, employed pool attendants didn’t have a clue how to clean and maintain the pool. Apart from all that , lovely beaches, so much so was thinking of staying on the beach instead of the villa😡

Villa itself was nice in the end of a quiet row of 4 in a quiet part of Coral Bay (near Corallia beach) well equipped, nice pool, comfy beds with en-suite bathrooms in all bedrooms. Unfortunately we had all our cash stolen from the villa the 2nd night when we had gone out for dinner and again an attempted break in on our 2nd last night around 3am - holiday totally spoiled. So we didn’t see much of the area during the holiday. Pavements were totally unsuitable for the mobility scooter my elderly mother hired.
