I have just enjoyed seven nights at Villa Selda with my wife and three daughters. It far exceeded our expectations. We agreed that it is well worth the money - very spacious, with incredible views over the coast in the Kalamar region at Kalkan, with a great pool. The view from the roof terrace is particularly breathtaking - a 360-degree vista of the mountains and Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. Everything you need is on hand from cooking and washing facilities to books and even a massage chair! The air con is good and beds are comfy. Look out for the friendly cat who comes visiting in the evening too. The villa is around a 30-minute walk from the centre of Kalkan, which you probably won’t want to do, particularly at the height of summer. However, taxis are incredibly cheap (about £4 for that journey). There’s a beach venue a five minute walk down the hill from the villa and around the corner is the best restaurant we visited on our holiday, House Kitchen. The prawn curry is unbelievably good. There’s also a supermarket a short walk away. The only downside with Villa Selda is that it’s on a very steep hill, so you need to be fairly fit, young or rent a car. It’s no biggy though. Villa Selda is a little bit of luxury for a non-luxury price. Highly recommended.

Lovely Villa, clean and tidy, but the decor is now a bit dated compared to the photos online. Location ok, but car would be a benefit as area of very very hilly. As a result used taxis extensively.

The villa was imaculate and even though quite contempoary felt homely and comfortable. The owner was around and on hand to help with any issues. Little touches made things easy and also welcome such as cool drinks in the fridge on arrival

The area where the villa is situated is hilly and mountainous. To access the villa there is a path that is 115cm wide, leading to 16 steps to the front door, and the front door is 90cm wide. The lounge door is 150cm wide and the kitchen/dining room door is 100cm wide. To access the pool/terrace area there is a door that is 150cm wide, the area around the pool is uneven and there is a path around this area which is 250cm wide. The pool has a ladder, there are no steps. There are no bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor level. There are 17 steps leading to the first floor.
