Known also as the white village, Frigiliana sits high upon a mountain ridge, right above the beautiful resort town of Nerja. Embroiled in a labyrinth of steep cobbled footpaths, narrow winding streets and traditional whitewashed houses, it’s no wonder that it was voted the 'prettiest village in Andalucia' by the Spanish tourism authority.

Two sections make up Frigiliana; The newer, lower section and the older Morisco-Mudéjar neighbourhood which makes up the upper section. Steeped in history and authenticity the upper section is certainly the main attraction. Here you’ll be taken back in time to Moorish lands and a selection of decorative floor mosaics tell a tale which goes as far back as the 8th century!

With a great selection of bars and authentic restaurants serving tasty Spanish dishes and offering stunning views whilst you dine, Frigiliana really is a paradise for those looking for a more traditional atmosphere rather than a resort. However, if you fancy the best of both worlds; a 15 minute drive takes you down to Nerja, where you can visit the blue-flag Burriana Beach and various other attractions here.

Villa Miracosta was excellent. Very well equipped, clean and in a beautiful setting. The swimming pool was immaculate and parking was easy with plenty of room. The approach to the villa is along a bumpy, concrete road which took about 7 minutes to navigate to the main road, was a bit tedious but the inconvenience of this was far outweighed by the villas spectacular views and its isolation. Having said all that, once on the main road the drive to Frigiliana and Nerja was easy. There are just two things I would remark on and that is, there was only one parasol between 4 sunbeds and really no other shade around the pool area. Also, the downstairs bathroom had no sink plug. I woukd definitely recommend the villa and Solmar Villas to anyone. The customer service we have received from them has been outstanding.

villa was very nice, very clean amazing pool kitchen and sleeping quarters. outdoor eating area proper bbq and pizza oven , the only thing i would say is you weren’t a very confident driver that the roads to and around the villa are very steep and tricky and also i know every country is different but there wasn’t any rubbish bins and after 24 days self catering we had to stack up the waist in the outside cooking area

This villa is in a hilly/mountainous area. To access the villa there is a path which is 125cm wide. There are 2 ways to the front door, either via 3 steps or a slightly longer way via a sloping ramp with one 10cm steps. This is the same as getting to the pool area. The front door has a width of 80cm, whilst the path to the terrace area is 125cm wide. The terrace is tiled and mostly flat. The pool itself has step access. There are no bedrooms on the ground floor. There are 16 steps down to the lower ground floor where all bedrooms have a door width of 69cm, and the shower room has a door width of 59 cm. *Please note that although every effort has been made to ensure the information provided is accurate, errors can occur and if you need to find out more specific information about the villa, please do not hesitate to contact us.
