You will be able to request a full refund of the price paid for your villa booking, if on your date of travel, the following conditions are met:
- Your villa booking was made on or after 07/10/2021.
- Your booking was made for a villa to which the offer applies, which will show if available for your chosen dates during your booking journey.
- The UK FCDO or Government in your country of residence advises against travel to your destination due to COVID-19 on your travel date.
- There are COVID-19 restrictions in your destination country preventing you from being able to travel to that destination.
- You are required, due to COVID-19, to quarantine in a hotel on arrival in your destination country.

Villa Lucia Overview
Look no further than Villa Lucia for an ideal summer getaway in the family friendly resort of Cala en Forcat. With a wide selection of bars, restaurants and supermarkets within easy reach and the pretty cove of Cala en Blanes a few minutes’ walk away, this really is a fantastic location. The villa itself is bright and airy with each of the three bedrooms and main living area opening straight onto the pool terrace. The master bedroom boasts en-suite facilities, whilst a separate family bathroom is provided for the other two rooms to share. Meals are easily prepared in the fully fitted kitchen, whilst outside the brick barbecue and exterior dining facilities are a welcome addition for those who love to eat al-fresco. Take a cooling dip in the inviting waters of the private swimming pool or simply sit back, relax and enjoy the sunshine on a lounger whilst catching up with this summer’s best-selling read. For those wanting to explore, the former capital Ciutadella is easily reached using public transport or 10 minutes in the car. The villa was in a fantastic location, close to beach and local bars , restaurants. We had a few issues on arrival but were dealt with really quickly by Solmar staff who were excellent. It was great to see good villa, good location and good staff highly recommend.

Once we arrived at Villa Lucia we were surprised to see a ‘James Villa’ sign on the door and not a Solmar Villa sign. Then once we had settled in and were ready to use the pool we realised that it was unclean and full of debris, like leaves and bits of plastic etc. We contacted the rep and she managed to get someone to come out quickly to clean the pool with a net, which we appreciated. However, it soon became dirty again and we started to notice a layer of scum/grime on top of the water, it was on the 2nd to last day of our holiday we realised that the pool filter/pump was broken and we were only made aware of this by chance because we were in when a pool maintenance guy came to check the pool. We contacted the rep to ask and she said she had not previously been made aware of this, and said it should be fixed the next day. We then had to ask for the pool to be manually cleaned. It was not fixed the next day and instead (we think) it was fixed the next morning as we were checking out. We are not happy with this at all, the pool was disgusting and we have photos of it showing the grime and dirt. We paid to have a villa with a pool and we did not get this, and we are really not happy that it was not communicated with us that it was broken. Also in the villa, in the main bathroom the water did not work for the sink or shower. Not so much an issue for us, holidaying as a couple but I can imagine this would have been a bigger issue for a bigger group/family. The inside of the villa also had James Villa information stored away in the cupboards, this, along with the James Villa outside on arrival makes your branding look naff. Overall, we are not happy with the value for money of this villa, we paid for a pool and a villa with 2 bathrooms under SOLMAR and did not get that.
