Much like the rest of Majorca, Porto Colom has a rich and fascinating history. This fishing village was supposedly the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, from which the resort’s name originates. Tucked away in the south east of the island and in a large sheltered bay, Port Colom is home to a picturesque marina, attractive buildings and a selection of wonderful beaches, including Cala Marsal, thought to be one of the best in Europe.

Only just booked holiday, but all good so far. Phoned for advice, call was answered quickly and query resolved. Booked online and there was an issue with flights not appearing on confirmation. Called again, picked up straight away and advised flights would be added manually on system. They appeared almost immediately with follow up email, so very impressed with service. Looking forward to holiday and receiving additional information from their ‘concierge service’. If the rest of the holiday process is as good as the initial booking, I’ll recommend without hesitation.

Managed to speak to someone quickly and they emailed information promptly and had listened to what I needed so service was good.. spoke to someone different the next day and all the information had been recorded so the conversation was easy . Biggest benefit was talking to a real person and not having to navigate lots of AI conversations /options .
The phone is answered quickly, staff are polite, helpful and knowledgeable. If you have a query they are always happy to help or sort any problems. We would definitely recommend Solmar.

To access the villa there is a path which is 170cm wide, leading to a step to the front door, the front door is 130cm wide. The lounge door is 200cm wide and the kitchen/dining room door is 82cm wide. To access the pool/terrace area there is a door which is 130cm wide, the path to the pool is 200cm wide. The outside grounds are level and flat. The pool has steps. The ground floor bedroom door is 80cm wide and the ground floor bathroom door is 70cm wide, this is a bath/shower type bathroom. There are 17 steps leading to the first floor level.
