Villa Irida Overview
With its picturesque, elevated position between the charming harbour village of Kassiopi and the family resort of Acharavi, this impressive villa boasts outstanding views over the gently shelving sandy beach of Kalamaki and out to sea, with the outline of the dramatic Albanian mountains in the distance. Inside, six air conditioned bedrooms are spread over two floors, the upper floor being comprised of two self-contained apartments reached via an external gated staircase, each having a separate entrance; perfect for two or even three families, who wish to share their holidays whilst maintaining some personal space. The entire villa is comfortably furnished and well-equipped, with plenty of space to relax together or find a quiet spot of your own. Situated above the villa itself and reached by a gated staircase, a large pool stretches proudly across the terrace surrounded by ample sunbathing space. The extensive pool area also offers a bar with fridge, childrens play area, table tennis and a pool side shower and WC. A generous well-maintained lawn sweeps around the villa, bordered by mature gardens and a wonderful rustic barbecue area that makes for atmospheric alfresco dining. Table tennis and a full size pool table are also provided on the terrace, perfect for some light entertainment, and for more adventure, Hydropolis water park is just a few minutes’ drive from the villa.

Resort Description
Kassiopi, at the northern tip of the North East coast of Corfu is a busy harbour and a thriving resort. The attractive paved harbour is ringed by shops and restaurants (and a few bars) and the constant comings and goings in the harbour will give hours of entertainment once in your holiday “laid back” frame of mind!
A great choice for all ages, Kassiopi is particularly appreciated by families with young adults in their group as there is just enough in the way of nightlife to keep them happy but all very close to home and secure. For the entire family there is an excellent selection of restaurants catering for all tastes, some very pleasant bars and cafés and a really good selection of shops – Kassiopi boasts jewellery shops, lace and embroidered linen, ceramics as well as souvenir shops of the more traditional kind and even a couple of boutiques. Of course there are several supermarkets, a fishmonger, a couple of butchers and several bakers to cater for all your daily needs.
Kassiopi is also great for water based activities – hire a self-drive boat from the harbour and explore the coastline or take a captained boat trip further afield. On the north side of the harbour (around the peninsula topped by the ruins of the Roman fortress) is the main beach which also offers water sports but to either side of the harbour you will find a plethora of tiny bays and coves to swim and sunbathe.

Our family party of 14 and a baby (in four families!) had an excellent holiday at Villa Irida. The location provides amazing views over the bay with one of the best beaches (not busy, sandy and shallow for a long way!) in Corfu only 200 metres down the hill. The villa's facilities are exceptional with a beautiful pool (with very good shade, a fridge and a toilet), useful kitchens, washing machines, pool and table tennis tables, small swings and a see-saw, and several grassed areas. The outdoor eating area under cover was a pleasure in the evenings and easily sat all of us round the table . The Owner who lives locally visited us and was charming; she seeks every year to make improvements. We should love to return! Solmarvillas' staff were efficient, warm and helpful before and during our stay! We would be pleased to use Solmarvillas again!

We took kids and grandkids a total of 11 of us ages from 23mths. to 78yrs. Absolutely fabulous 2 weeks! Lots of space, pools were a good size. Local tavernas on beach below friendly and served good food. Kalamaki beach 5 mins. down the hill excellent for children, safe shallow waters and clean white sand.

This was our second family holiday at Villa Irida, we last came in a September. This time, with an even larger family in early June, -- we all felt that THIS stay was even better than the first blissful time! No wasps, plenteous bougainvillea with exquisite butterflies everywhere, still lovely decor in the Villa, still Taverna Nikolas and the child-perfect beach. We will be back!

The setting of the villa is perfect with stunning sea views. There are numerous outside areas to find your own space if you need it but also a wonderful shaded eating area and bbq for long evenings altogether. Being able to walk to the sandy beach was a bonus with a fabulous taverna, Nikolas, for drinks or a traditional Greek meal. I will definitely rebook.

The villa was beautifully positioned overlooking the beach with places to sit out and enjoy the view at all times of day. The villa had a twice weekly maid service so lovely to have clean sheets and towels. There were two tavernas in walking distance which were good but anything else required a car.

Villa Irida exceeded our expectations in every way. The house is immaculate and pool area is stunning. It is only a short walk to the beach (super steep but no more than ten minutes). The layout of the outside areas meant that we could really spread out. The pool table and ping pong tables were a nice touch. The outdoor kitchen area was immaculate and the main kitchen had every possible gadget, bowl, platter that you could think of! The nearest beach is sandy with crystal clear water. It is shallow for a long way out so a pontoon means that you can walk out and jump in. We hired a captained boat one day and he came and picked us up and dropped us home. Nicolas Taverna is on the beach and we had several happy meals there. We hired a car at corfu airport which was handy for supermarket trips and going for dinner in Kassiopi but you could easily spend a week without one. We called our Solmar representative twice for some local advice and she couldn't have been more helpful. The villa was cleaned twice whilst we were there (which we weren't expecting on a one week stay) including a full linen change halfway. Air-conditioning was good. The only slight gripe was that the showers in the upstairs annexes did not have a wall mount so showering wasn't great. An absolutely fantastic villa which we already hoping to rebook.

Villa Irida is beautiful with everything you could need there! The views are stunning, pool is fantastic and the bbq area and pool/table tennis and play park are fabulous fun for all the family. The villa was kept very clean and the maid was very friendly and welcoming. The beach is very close and perfect for children as it is sandy and the sea is very shallow and calm. I would recommend hiring a car as the town of Kassiopi is a 5-10 minute drive but has lots of great restaurants and bars. You can get a taxi for €10. Overall though a fantastic stay and we would come again!

Perfect location - close to beach (steep, downhill 10 minute walk); lovely tavernas (next to beach); supermarket 10 minute drive away in Kassiopi. Kassiopi more touristic (shops) but lovely harbour and plenty of choice for eating out. Views from Villa AMAZING. Villa fantastic - spotlessly clean; maid lovely; all mod cons; very well maintained (lots of new equipment). Suits families and friends holidaying together (own 'space' and bathrooms). Pool wonderful - clean; well-maintained; plenty of sun loungers and shade. Safe for little ones (gated). Can't wait to return!
