If you imagine everything you would expect from a stereotypical package holiday resort, then imagine the opposite and you're close to what you will find in Polis. No fish & chips shops, no arcades, or nightclubs - it is truly unspoilt by tourism.

Limni beach villa is a tricky one to review as it has many positives but also a few things that weren't great. Location in terms of being beachfront is amazing. The beach is quite pebbly so sea shoes are recommended. The location is remote so a car is recommend unless you like very long walks. A bus does stop on the main road going to Polis but oddly there isn't a stop anywhere near the villa on the way back and it also didn't seem to run on time. Taxi was about 10 euro. Our main concern was the villa is separate to the rest of the villas on the development, it is accessed by a side driveway road and unfortunately despite signs saying it is private access, the villa's drive and front garden were used regularly by people from the area to access the beach, sometimes walking across the garden right in front of us as we were poolside and down the stone path. It meant we didn't get the privacy we wanted and also was a bit of a security concern. I gave up asking people to at least go down the driveway rather than across the garden as we were on occasion met with abuse despite being polite and still not objecting to their use of the villa driveway. A gate at the bottom of the drive would be an obvious improvement along with better signage. The villa outdoor area and pool is lovely and has a good gas bbq. The pool was good and had a deep end around 6ft deep. We did have an issue with the pool that took around a day to sort out where we couldn't use it but hopefully that's a one off. Inside is very nice but we felt a few issues let it down a bit. One couch is supported by piles of books and both also need cleaning (mainly down to sun lotion). There was a dead lizard in the fire place that we reported on day 1 but was never removed, hopefully it's gone by now :-) . The ceiling led lighting is faulty. The fridge needs replacing, it looks past it's best and water kept pooling in the bottom fridge trays. It also hadn't been cleaned very well on arrival. Aircon in one bedroom had an issue where it leaked down the wall, the bed had been pulled forward to avoid this. It seemed to be a fairly long standing issue when we asked. It was still usable but not at lower temps or for prolonged periods. Rest of the aircon units were fine. It's a very nice villa but some things need sorting out.

To access the villa there is a path which is 180cm wide alongside 3 steps. The front door has a width of 140cm, whilst the door to the terrace is 120cm wide. The patio doors open onto a large and spacious pool area, which is flat and tiled. Accessing the beach requires step access. The ground floor bedroom is 80cm wide, whilst the shower room door is 70cm wide. The door into the kitchen/lounge is 118cm wide.
