Entrance to this villa is through a gate (96cm wide) Once through the gate you will find that the ground leading up to the villa entrance is level but there is a very small step (6cm high) onto the porch that leads right up to the front door. The front door (86cm wide) leads through to an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room. There is also a door (87cm wide) at the side of the villa accessing the lounge, kitchen/diner. Just past the kitchen there is the shower room door (80cm wide) The shower room comprises of a stand in shower with one step up (11cm high) toilet and basin. The ground floor bedroom door (80cm wide) comes next, the bedroom comprises of a double bed, wardrobes and double doors (80cm wide) leading out to the pool and patio area. To the left of the bottom of the stairs is another door leading to the other side of the villa (80cm wide) There are 18 Steps leading to the first floor with a further 2 bedrooms and a family bathroom comprising of a stand up shower with step up (10cm high), WC and Wash hand basin. Whilst we believe this villa may be suitable for those with restricted mobility, we have provided this mobility statement to allow every client to make an informed decision prior to booking. However if you do have specific needs that may affect the suitability of a villa for your party please do contact us prior to book to check suitability.

We arrived at the Villa at 5:30pm and found the Villa clean and tidy but then found quite a few issues that needed attention. Five lights were not working. One in the kitchen, one in the dining area, one in the ground floor bedroom, one on the first floor landing and one in the first floor bedroom. We then found the ground floor shower flexible pipe was split and the mounting bracket for the shower head was broken rendering the shower unusable. I have mobility problems that makes it very difficult for me to climb stairs so I needed the ground floor shower one of the reasons we renting this Villa. My son was able to take the pipe from the first floor shower that also had a broken shower head bracket rendering that shower unusable unless you are two foot tall and he managed do a temporary fix to the ground floor shower so I could use it. We then found the safe was locked so we couldn't use that. We then found the dishwasher was full of dirty stagnant water so we put at tablet in it to clean it but the machine wasn't working. So we would wash up in the sink but no plug we improvised with some kitchen foil then we found the sink tap leaked water out of every join when turned on flooding the kitchen floor unless you turned it on full but with the water pressure being so great it still splashed water everywhere. The Villa was also short of some cooking items like a frying pan or baking tray etc. I will admit the rep responded quite quickly considering that Thursday afternoon and Friday were her days off. I could go into a lot of detail as to what happened next like three visits form the dishwasher guy and the plumber turning up at Five Thirty in the evening to fix the kitchen tap just as we were having our evening meal but its suffice to say we spent most of our time at the Villa waiting for maintenance people come and fix things. I strongly feel these issues should have been found and fixed before we arrived I think we were the first people in this Villa this season and nothing had been checked. Not the best holiday I've ever had. Hopefully the next people in the Villa will have a better experience now everything has been fixed. I very much doubt we will be using Solmar Villas again. We never did get a plug.

Villa was immaculate and well equipped. Location excellent for dining and entertainment and a walk away from the beach. Two large beautiful sun terraces with excellent sea views for relaxation and child friendly pool. For holidaymakers and families with children who do not want car hire it would be ideal holiday venue. Very enjoyable.
