Current Travel Updates

11 December

Heavy snowfall and adverse weather across large parts of the country continue to cause some disruption to travel today.

The Met Office have today issued yellow warnings of severe weather and have issued a cold weather alert

Heathrow Airport

Flights at Heathrow are disrupted today due to crew and aircraft being out of position following yesterday’s weather. Before coming to the airport, passengers must check their flight status with their airline. If the status of your flight is cancelled, please do not travel to the airport, keep updated via the airline’s website.

The safety and comfort of our passengers is always our first priority and we are working closely with our airlines to ensure affected passengers are looked after. We apologise to those whose travel has been impacted and regret the inconveniences that have been caused.

Stansted Airport

UPDATE 11:20, Monday 11 December

Due to continuing adverse weather conditions across the UK and Europe, some flights may be disrupted. Passengers are reminded to check the latest status of their flight with the Airline before travelling to the Airport.

We continue advising passengers to keep up to date with the latest traffic & transport updates, allow extra time for their travel and plan their journey to and from the Airport accordingly.
Passengers who do not have a confirmed booking for a flight today, or if their flight has been cancelled, are asked not to travel to the Airport.

*We would like to inform all car park customers who have been delayed due to the flight cancellations caused by the adverse weather across the UK and Europe that you will not be charged extra for the overstays.

Birmingham Airport

Passengers should be aware that there may be some knock on disruption today following yesterday's adverse weather and freezing temperatures overnight.

Manchester Airport

Please be aware we’re expecting adverse weather over the next few days, but we are preparing should it deteriorate.

Due to the expected bad weather conditions, we advise passengers to keep up to date with traffic and transport updates, and plan their journey to the airport accordingly.

We will keep our website and social channels updated, but as always passengers can get up to date flight advice from their airlines.

UK weather - Customer Guidelines

Winter weather has been affecting flights at London Heathrow on Sunday 10 December & Monday 11 December. The situation remains very challenging with a large number of cancellations, diversions and congestion at Heathrow.

We are sorry for the disruption and are doing all we can to minimise the effect it has on our operation.
