- 'Travel Restrictions Guarantee' is automatically included in the search results price on the solmarvillas.com website.
- The premium paid for 'Travel Restrictions Guarantee' is non-commissionable.
- The premium can be removed from the basket if not required. If removed during booking, you still have 7 days from confirmation to add this back on if needed.
- For bookings made less than 6 weeks before arrival, this premium can't be added or removed after booking.
- The 'Travel Restrictions Guarantee' is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-commissionable.
- Cancellation of the booking will also result in loss of the premium paid.

The main beach of Sao Rafael is less than twenty minute walk away and the resorts facilities of both Gale and Albufeira less than a ten minute drive away. Both Gale and Albufeira are fabulous family friendly beach resorts, with a tremendous selection of activities and sights for all the family. Boasting amazing turquoise waters and fine white sandy beaches, these are two of the Algarve’s most popular resorts for families with young children. Due to its privileged location close to the beach and resort centre, everything you need is within a very short stroll, making evening strolls into the village of Gale even more enjoyable, knowing that you can enjoy a glass of chilled white wine without having to worry about having to drive back home.

This villa is in an exceptionally hilly/mountainous area. There are 5 steps into the villa and the path to access the villa is 102cm wide. The front door has a width of 90cm and the other doors to access the pool area are in the kitchen which are 90cm wide and the patio doors which are 100cm wide. The ground if flat but there are little steps everywhere. Both the widest bedroom door and the widest bath/shower room door on the ground floor is 72cm wide. Lovely villa. Overlooking the coastline so gorgeous view. Very big and spacious more than enough room for 10 people. Pool was lovely. Had the option to heat this and this made all the difference. Walking distance to a few bars but the main Albufeira was a short taxi ride away with plenty to do and cheap fares. We all had a very relaxing holiday and would definitely book again. Brilliant ?

We had a wonderful week with our family in this lovely villa. The pool wes amazing for the kids there were lots os sunbeds and numerous eating areas the villa itself was large with 5 big bedrooms huge lounge area and well equipped kitchen. The views from the villa were amazing would highly recommend this for a large family or a group of adults. Thank you irene barnes cheshire x

What an absolutely fantastic holiday! End to end it smashed all expectations! Will look to rebook very soon. Solmar experience.... 10 out of 10. Delivered on a promise! I knew the location was a gem from old but the villa topped it off! Loads of space, clean and tidy! Needs someone local to tell visitors where best supermarket is as Napol is expensive and aldi/lidl weren't very good. Minor issue. Washing machine broke but replaced same day. Last day facilities up the road were great.

Overall me and my boys enjoyed the villa and location. Pluses were that there were two beaches within walking distance one really small and one a good size, both with good quality restaurants so could go and eat at night in a great setting. There were also a few restaurants within walking distance, as was a mini-market. Everything else was no more than 10 to 15 minutes by car. So great location. The villa itself was a mixture of new on the outside and older interior, which gave it a good feel. The villa overall had loads of room and the bedrooms were huge and all on-suite with air-con. Pool was nice size, table tennis and pool table for the big and little kids. If there was a big party in the villa then outdoor seating is limited partly due to the position of the table tennis table.

I would definitely rent from Solmar again. The staff we encountered wiere really lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. Villa was lovely too. Beds were a bit hard for my taste but I would definitely rent the same villa again but being a mattress topper with me next time. Please pass on our thanks to your team in Portugal.

The villa was spacious and had lovely views but was a bit run down and in need of a bit of renovation. The beds were also very hard and not comfortable! Of all the Solmar villas that we have stayed in, this was the most disappointing.

Our Solmar Villa holiday was enjoyed by all 8 in our party. Sadly, one week was far too short. The excellent location was complemented by the ocean views, excellent swimming pool and spacious public rooms. The bar-b-q proved to be very popular. In short we had a wonderful holiday. Thank you.
