Villa Mango Overview
Nerja has long been a favourite destination of ours. As soon as we visited Villa Mango, we knew that we were on to a winner.
The proud owners maintain their villa with the greatest of care, and the careful attention to detail is clearly evident throughout this beautiful home. The interiors are bright, airy and very spacious, absolutely perfect for young families in particular, thanks to the thoughtfully constructed gated pool area. We were equally impressed by the number of chill-out areas scattered throughout this villa, from the attractive ground floor living room, to the lower ground floor play/games area and out to the attractive outdoor balcony. On the terrace, you will find a traditional brick BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining. Add this to the attraction of beautiful views, whether it be gazing out to the mountains to the rear, or out towards the dazzling coastline of Nerja below you, and you may never want to leave this stunning villa.
For those who enjoy eating out, you will find an extensive selection of restaurants and café bars in Nerja itself, where you can stroll for hours along the colourful promenade and vibrant shopping streets. Another notable village of interest is nearby Frigliana, probably one of the prettiest villages in the Costa del Sol, with its pretty white washed village house, traditional coffee shops, boutique shops and some wonderful local restaurants.

To access the villa there is a path which is 200cm wide along with 7 steps up to the villa itself. The front door has a width of 200cm and other doors that access the pool area are 180cm wide. Paths from the villa to the pool area are 100cm wide and there are steps to the pool area and steps to access to the villa main building (7 steps) and 4 steps in the terrace. The pool also has roman steps to enter. Inside there are 4 different staircases one to the basement (11 steps), one to first floor (16 steps) and one to the terrace (18 steps). There are no bedrooms or bathrooms on the ground floor, the nearest is up 16 steps to the first floor. The door into the kitchen/dining area is 80cm wide and the door into the lounge area is 100cm wide. *Please note that although every effort has been made to ensure the information provided is accurate, errors can occur and if you need to find out more specific information about the villa, please do not hesitate to contact us.

From booking to texts from solmars local rep, everything went smoothly. Villa mango is a beautiful place for a holiday , much more spacious than you can appreciate on the photographs, it was immaculately clean, beds were firm and comfortable, in a fantastic location very near Nerja without being in the middle of it, amazing views of the mountains range behind. Pool was clean, and a decent size to swim in, the villa got the sun from morning until early evening so ideal for sunbathing, would highly recommend and return again.

Our second stay and perfect once again. Pool wasn’t cleaned during our visit but guess that’s labour shortage as with everything else. My only tip would be to put a second lock box for keys near the pool as we managed to lock ourselves out! Everyone was truly helpful but we felt awful for having to disturb them. Other half of the family booked through James Villas and had a terrible time. Solmar all the way for us.

The villa was great with a lovely pool, fantastic views and a convenient location only 5 minutes drive from the Balcon and resort centre. BUT our overall experience was tarnished by access issues. Although the short road outside the villa has been surfaced, one of the two approach roads requires manoeuvring around parked vehicles in very narrow winding lanes and was closed for one of our two weeks. The other approach road is extremely rough and in places unsurfaced. Driving requires going around various holes and barriers that are part of the on-going construction. We were very worried about the potential for damaging our hire car. It had to be hosed daily to limit the build up of dust from the surrounding roads.

The villa was in a good location, very close to Nerja but also very quiet with nice views from the small terrace off the living room and bedroom. The furnishings are adequate and the kitchen has all the utensils you need if you were to cook in the villa although we ate out everyday as Nerja has a huge choice of restaurants. Overall for early in the season and an excellent price it was good value for money

The villa was very modern and clean.It was well equipped with a nice pool and BBQ area. The supermarkets where quite close but I would say a car was essential as the track to the villa is quite uneven and about 400m from the tarmaced road. The views of the mountains and sea are lovely although its a good 30 mins walk to the town but once there its a buzzing place. If,as we did,arrive very late on saturday night out of season the supermarkets dont open untill monday.

everything we needed was there from the 2 bathrooms to a toilet on the ground floor, the sitting and dining area to the kitchen where one had all the facilities, if you wished to cook. the outdoor area is superb with the swimming pool, loungers and bbq.

We were extremely pleased with the villa. It was huge and in a lovely condition with a great pool and bbq area. The walk into town is a bit further than we anticipated but Nerja itself is a wonderful town with lots of nice places to eat. Would thoroughly recommend.
