This lovely detached villa is located less than a 5-minute drive into the very heart of Puerto Pollensa. An ideal choice for those who love outdoor space and mountain views but also want to be within easy reach of the facilities that Puerto Pollensa has to offer including the famous Pine Walk and sandy beach.
As you approach the house you are welcomed by a covered terrace area and lawned garden, surrounded by ever-green bushes and shrubs. Under the terrace you'll find the ideal spot for some alfresco dining, with a dining set that can comfortably seat all six guests and a brick-built BBQ. As you make your way across the terrace you will find a good sized pool, with roman steps and sun loungers.
Once inside, all the accommodation is situated on the ground floor. The entrance takes you straight into the open-plan living and dining area. This area is filled with character from the original beamed ceiling to the stone internal wall. The kitchen offers all the modern conveniences you would expect and need on a holiday including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, ceramic hob and oven and of course a fridge freezer. There are three bedrooms in total, one double and two twin bedrooms all benefiting from timed air conditioning. There is a bathroom and a shower room, both of which are shared by all three bedrooms.
In case you wanted to hire a car, there's off-road parking. Why not take advantage of this and take a drive to the nearby Cala Sant Vicente, a quieter resort ideal for snorkeling, as coved beaches provided the ideal habitat for beautiful sea life, including octopus, crabs, seabream and mullet fish.

The Villa was a 20 minute walk to the euroski supermarket and 10 mins more to puerto pollenca. We didn’t need a car. The bus stop is around 150 m away and you can catch the bus to Alcúdia, pollenca or Palma. The Villa is not new, expect a more rustic feel. It had everything we needed and the pool is lovely. The only issue was the two shower heads - these really need replacing. The water from the over bath shower was impossible to prevent flowing onto the bathroom floor so we had to keep mopping. I would stay there again though - price was good for what you get.

The villa was big inside and accommodated all 6 people. The outdoor space and pool were good and enough for us all. The villa had everything we needed for our week long stay. The bathrooms could do with updating if am honest especially one of the show heads. Aircon was on at night which was perfect. The location is just on the main road so you could hear the cars but we expected that. You could easily walk to the port/beach in 20 minutes max. The supermarket was about 10/15 mins away on foot. We all had a fab time and for the money I cannot grumble at all. Solmar Villas were really easy to book with and would 100% book with them again.

Airconditioning in villa except in living room, where we had a tiny electric heater to keep the chill off (stay was beginning of April so still cold at night) which was not great but at least the owner gave us some extra blankets on request. No remote for the TV - could change the volume if I physically turned the TV around and toggled a little switch but unable to change channels so had one non-english channel. Promised a different TV which never turned up. Owner turned up on Day 3 to note down the model of the TV but was never seen or heard of again. WIFI was essentially non existent and really should not be advertised as available. At best it would work for a minute or two very slowly but would disconnect constantly - basically unusable even for basic web browsing. Electric shocks (not static, this was from unearthed appliance) any time we touched the dishwasher unless wearing footwear. Worse if you happened to grab the edge of the sink at the same time. This would not pass UK safety standards. Double bed tiny and very uncomfortable. Windy at night resulting in the doors rattling in the frames and the glass rattling in the doors, so hard to sleep even if the beds had been comfortable. Road noise constant but not particularly annoying and the villa is a short drive from the sea, so location was ok - though don’t hire a big car as it is hard to turn in the driveway to get out again. Reversing all the way out is not an option as you would reverse] onto a busy main road. Owner seemed nice, shame the facilities were poor and unsafe.

Rated: Excellent. Beautiful garden and pool area, a very relaxing way to spend an afternoon on the comfy sun loungers. Plenty of space for eating alfresco and great to have the table tennis. We didn't use the living room very much as the weather was so good but while it was a very pretty room. The villa was very convenient to Puerto Pollensa, a beautiful town with great places to eat, shopping areas and a lovely beach. We hired a small boat for 5 of us, very reasonable €120, it was a great way to spend an afternoon, diving and snorkelling. A fantastic holiday!

Rated: Good. Perfect location in between Port Pollensa and Old Town Pollensa. Towels were changed at least twice during our visit which was excellent. All in all the villa was very good, with a nice swimming pool, table tennis table and other good 'white' goods such as dishwasher and washing machine all of which worked perfectly.
