Casa Sebastiana Overview
Casa Sebastiana is a prominent and impressive looking villa with mature gardens and trees surrounding giving it a good level of privacy. The location is ideal for families and groups as it sits a few minutes stroll from the famous Cala D’or Marina lined with a wide selection of good quality restaurants for you to choose from, most have seating outside overlooking the Marina allowing you to take in the sea air and make the most of taking a look at the millionaires yachts that reside there. The villa itself is across two storeys and lends itself towards two families or groups as both levels consist of three bedrooms each with an en-suite, kitchen, family bathroom and lounge giving independence from the rest of party if desired. Once you are outside there is a good sized kidney shaped pool with ladder access as well as terraces areas for sunbathing or why not take advantage of the Brick Built BBQ and enjoy some Spanish style alfresco dining. If you want space to run then your only a few minutes’ walk to the popular sandy cove beach of Cala Gran and for shopping you are never far from a mini market or for bigger shops head West a few minutes to the Es Pou area of Cala D’or. Still need more? Then catch the road train round the marina to Cala D’or town for an array of shops and café’s.

Mobility Statement
To access the villa there is a path which is 100cm wide along with 2 steps. The front door has a width of 80cm and other doors that access the pool area are the bedroom doors which are 120cm wide. Paths from the villa to the pool area are 80cm wide, the grounds are uneven with many little steps and the pool has a metal staircase to enter. All the bedrooms have a door width of 68cm and the widest bathroom door on the ground floor is 67cm wide which is the main shower room. The Villa is ideally located and well stocked with kitchen utensils. The pool area was also great. However, we were really disappointed with the cleanliness of the Villa. There was a lot of dust and hairs under the beds. The bathrooms had dirty floors too, for example one of the bathroom floors had two dried contact lenses from the previous occupiers stuck to the floor. One of these was still there after the cleaners came in mid week as was the dust and dirt under the beds. Our towels were changed once mid week but our sheets were never changed and fresh sheets weren’t left. But the most concerning thing was the cot, which was soiled with what appeared to be baby vomit and had a dead mosquito squashed on the sheets. We can to clean the cot before use.

A family of 10 adults and 2 children have just spent 10 days in villa Sebastiana. We had the most wonderful time. The villa is very well equipped from an amazing pool to comfortable beds. The only thing i would consider when booking this villa is that there is no air con although we did manage to hire with no hassle two air con units through Solmar Villas. The location is excellent in a very quiet area with a five minute walk to the port and a small Spar shop (larger supermarkets can be reached by car or taxi) and 15 minute walk to the nearest beach. Cala D’or town is approx 25 minute walk which is definitely worth the visit where there are lots of restaurants and shops. The villa itself was used by us every day. The pool area although a little small was well equipped with ample sunbeds and seating suitable for alfresco dining. We did not expect to see cleaners during our stay but we were surprised when they did arrive changing our towels and bedding ☺️. Will definitely return to this villa.

We did not realise that access to the upper rooms was external so was a bit disappointed with that. Also there was no bath downstairs as stated which we actually needed with a small child. Did not see a coffee maker. Nobody came to mend the faulty toilet that was reported

The location is great for families, the bus service is fantastic and easy to use if you don't want to drive. Shops, bars and restaurants are all within easy walking. Car rental and tourist information at cala egos are extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely pool and outdoor area at the villa. Villa layout is excellent for two families sharing. Kettle broke and was replaced in under a day, excellent service from solmar rep.

We were two families sharing this villa, so had a floor each. The downstairs kitchen was well equipped, while the upstairs would have been tricky to cook in. However it would have been nice to have some basics like bin bags, dishwasher tablets, salt and pepper. There was also a bath upstairs but none downstairs. The bedrooms were all a good size and each had a fan and good storage. The downstairs lounge had a DVD player and cable but we couldn’t get the latter to work. The pool was lovely and was regularly cleaned early in the morning. The loungers were comfy and there were lots of them. The villa is a short walk from both Cala Egos, with its many family-friendly restaurants, and the Cala D’Or Marina, with its smart elegant eateries. There are lots of small Spar shops and a larger Eroski nearby. To walk into Cala D’Or centre it’s about 30 mins and to the nearest beach at Cala D’es Pous is about 15. It was really quiet and yet really central. We’d highly recommend Don Leone in central Cala D’Or and Pizza Il Peperone in Cala Egos. Both were amazing!

The villa was spacious and clean although the outside pool area was quite compact and direct access to the pool area was from the double bedroom so not as convenient for alfresco dining as the kitchen area was round the corner with access via a side door. We didn’t consider this when we booked but it is much easier if the kitchen is beside the terrace from a socialising and dining aspect. The villa is close to the Marina and is close to restaurants and amenities. Also great support from local rep if you need any assistance.

The location of the villa was perfect..........within a short walk of a mini market and restaurants and a short taxi ride to the centre of Cala D'Or. It was also a short taxi ride to a much larger super market. The beach at Es Pou was about a 20 min stroll away. The villa itself was perfect for all ten of us...plenty of space , inside and out......and was immaculate. We enjoyed using the bbq as well as the kitchen facilities. There was always plenty of hot water for showers and the use of the dishwasher and washing machine made life very simple for the family.

The villa was in an ideal location, only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful marina at Cala D’or and the beaches were easily accessible via the frequent yellow train. The only downside to the villa was the pool- as it wasn’t child friendly, the shallow end was still about 4 feet deep.

My family and myself had a fantastic week in Casa Sebastiana. The villa has everything possible that you could need, from iron to hairdryer. Ample crockery and cutlery. Amazing location between Cala D'or and Cala Egos. Very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this villa.

The apartment was well maintained and comfortable. The pool though not heated was used by most of the family on a daily basis. the town of Cala D'Or and the beaches were in easy walking distances and taxis were available from the centre at a reasonable price. A very enjoyable holiday.

We have had a great time in Cala Dor. The house where nice. The pool was nice. Cala Dor was a fantastic town, small but good. The beaches was exellent and the kids loves it. I will say tell my friends that Somar Villas is a good and seriusly company, and we will use it next year if we go til Mallorca.

Casa Sebastiana is in an ideal location in a very quiet residential area. The Marina was just a few minutes walk away as was the small Spar supermarket. The local bus service was very good and the bus stop was just a few minutes walk from the villa. We visited several places using this public transport eg Palma, Porto Petro, the Caves of Drach etc. We booked a lovely boat trip from Cala Egas beach to Porto Coloma. Cala Egas and Es Forti were lively resorts with plenty of restaurants and shops and lovely beaches. Both were in walking distance from the villa. Eating out in the Marina was expensive so it was worth the walk to Cala Egas for better and reasonable prices. Our favourite eating place has to Molly's Irish Bar in Cala Egas. The food was fresh, home cooked and delicious and the portions were enormous but they do provide a goodie box so that you may bring home your sweet or any other uneaten food. Highly recommended. We were a group of 7 adults so had plenty of room. Cala d'Or centre is a long walk away but well worth a visit using the local bus. This region of Majorca is beautiful. There is so much to see and out of season it is not crowded. An excellent holiday enjoyed by all.

10 family members have just returned from the Casa Sebastiana and we would recommend it to anyone. It is well maintained. The villa was in a quiet residential area. At the end of the road and you are at the start of the marina, with a Spar shop selling everything you need. (About a 5 min walk). The trains into the centre of Cala D'Or stop here, and for 3 euros each, you can spend a full hour touring the resort, bringing you back again. I recommend Cala Gran and Cala Esmerelda beaches. If you turn left out of the villa and follow the road straight across the main road, there is a small bowling alley in a bar on the left. This takes you to the small resort of cala Egos, which is nice for an evening stroll. There are a few restaurants too, all reasonably priced. My only gripe would be the lack of air conditioning in the villa. The rep (Juliette) was fantastic and I would go back anytime.
