This delightful home-from-home is based in a tranquil village on the outskirts of Victoria, the island’s main town and capital. Villa II Kampnar is a fine example of how modern style can effortlessly merge with tradition. The property retains many rustic features of a typical Gozitan home including the exterior, original staircase and stone walls, while the contemporary furnishings create a care-free ambience for your stay.

On the ground floor, the open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen featuring an American-style breakfast bar are designed to overlook the peaceful sundeck, with an alfresco dining area, barbecue and spacious pool with a separate Whirlpool. From here, you can enjoy views all the way to Victoria with its 500-year-old Citadel rising steeply at its centre. All five bedrooms have ensuite facilities and are distributed across all floors. The Master Bedroom on the first floor overlooks the pool area and is equipped with a private corner whirlpool bath for a touch of luxury and relaxation. Another of the bedrooms on the second floor enjoys private terraces at both ends, with unparalleled views. The closest beaches are Xlendi and Dwejra bay but as the island is so small, you’re never far away from anywhere. In the morning you could be visiting the imposing Ġgantija Neolithic temples or strolling around Victoria’s ancient Citadel while in the afternoon, you could while away several hours on one of the beaches – the most famous being Ramla beach with its striking red sand.
