We know that you might be feeling uncertain about booking your next holiday with the ever-changing travel restrictions, which is why we've introduced our Travel Restrictions Guarantee for your peace of mind.
Book your next villa holiday with confidence, safe in the knowledge that you can either move your dates or receive a holiday voucher for the full amount paid if your travel dates are restricted by either FCDO/local government advice advice or local restrictions in your destination country.*
The Travel Restrictions Guarantee is automatically included in the website price and can be removed before you book, however we strongly advise you keep it to give you added flexibility and protection.
You will still need to purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy as soon as your booking is confirmed. This insurance should, as a minimum, protect you against cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, loss/theft of possessions and documents, personal liability and airline failure.

If you’re a foodie, try Kefalonia’s speciality, a Kreatopita, which is a baked pastry with meat, garlic, potatoes and spices. Delicious!

Avithos is the ideal choice for your Greek Island holiday if you are looking for fabulous beaches, great tavernas, beautiful coastal and mountain scenery, easy walking on quiet country lanes but still just a short drive to the island's capital.
Situated on the southern coast of Kefalonia, just a few kilometres from the airport and Argostoli, Ai Avithos is located in the area known locally as Leivathos – made up of picturesque villages and some gorgeous sandy beaches. There are also a good few attractions in this area such as the Castle of St.George, atop its acropolis and offering superb views all over the area – well worth a visit as is the Monastery of St. Andreas.
Avithos beach is a long strip of sand, with some shingle or stones depending on the weather of the previous winter – looking out to the tiny islet of Zeus and backed by two excellent tavernas where locally delicacies and fresh fish can be enjoyed. The beach itself offers a super beach bar with snacks, cold drinks and coffees, and comfortable sunbeds are available to rent. The village of Svoronata – just a 15 minute walk from Avithos offers more restaurants, a couple of bars, a petrol station and the local minimarket so all necessities are close to hand. Even the local “drive in” in supermarkets are all within a short drive of this area, but once back at your villa all is peace and quiet whilst you just enjoy the wonderful views!
Villa Diamandi was the perfect location for family relaxation. The setting was beautiful, sea views, hill views and a garden full of flowers. The 4 en-suite bedrooms make this a great villa for 2 families sharing, with the down stairs providing almost a granny flat. This villa was well equipped with more than enough crockery etc for 8. A short walk takes you to a stunning beach, with views to Zante. We had a fantastic time here and would love to return.

We found the villa extremely comfortable. It had everything we needed and with a gorgeous beach a short stroll away we couldn't have been happier.

The location is fantastic. The garden and pool are lovely, though the pool is freezing at this time of year. The cleaning was not great. It felt a bit grubby. It needs a proper spring clean rather than a cursory vacumn cleaning and wipe down. When we had a couple of problems they were sorted very quickly, so happy with that. The amount of kitchen equipment provided was barely adequate for a villa that sleeps 8, and the quality and range of items like glasses was low average. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Villa Diamandi. It represents good value. We'll see you in Villa Riaki in May next year

Think you could make much more of the short walk to what was a secluded and quiet beach...even in peak season....with safe shallow water and golden soft sand for families with children. We also loved the Villa cats..one in particular who stayed close to the villa throughout our stay. We did not feed however. My son who was with us is a vet and said they were naturally well fed with lizards, mice etc....and healthier for it. My grandson has written a page about the cats and left it in the villa info book for any clients who are interested. The only minor issue is that the kitchen is very small for clients who might be sharing the property as opposed to a family of 8 - but we used the BBQ and the local tavernas for main meals. Overall a very well appointed villa, great pool - safe for children - huge and well maintained grounds plus the setting of the villa is spectacular with fantastic views.

As always, a pleasant villa in an outstanding location, with two beaches, two excellent tavernas, and a local supermarket all in walking distance.
