Welcome to Dubrovnik, Croatia

Discover your perfect villa in Dubrovnik

The UNESCO world Heritage site of Dubrovnik is one of the most fun, interesting and stunningly beautiful destinations once could possibly visit within a 3 hour flight from the UK. With many regional flights from around the UK flying into Dubrovnik, Villa holidays here have been on the increase for the past five years or more.

Dubrovnik has also become one of the most popular stop-overs for all the major Cruise specialists, which helps to create a wonderful atmosphere and ensures that high standards are constantly maintained. The historical Old Town and the Ancient Walls are absolutely fascinating, and many an day or/and evening is sure to be spent strolling around aimlessly, simply people watching and soaking up the incredible atmosphere emanating from this cultural and attractive town.

There are many things to do during a villa holiday here, and our personal favourites include the following:-

·         An early to mid-morning stroll along the ancient city walls, and please remember to take some water and a camera with you, as you may find that this relatively short stroll will end up taking you hours, as you stop repeatedly to marvel at the wonderful views in all directions.

·         Take a guided tour around the old town. Although many people, including ourselves, usually enjoy doing these things by ourselves, in our opinion, it is well worth hiring a local guide here in Dubrovnik, as this fascinating old town is steeped in history and intriguing stories, which only a local guide can depict effectively and accurately.

·         Enjoy a lazy day at sea, exploring the pretty Elafiti islands, just off the coastline of Dubrovnik. These fascinating little islands all boast their very own idyllic beaches and charming harbour fronts lined with lovely café bars and restaurants. Our personal favourite is Lopud, but you may well enjoy Sipan or Kolocep more. Whichever you decide is your personal favourite, you can be guaranteed a wonderful and unforgettable day out. There are a profusion of little boats leaving from the Gruz harbour which is located close to the area of Lapad in Dubrovnik.

·         There’s no better way to see Dubrovnik than from a bird’s eye viewpoint, so we recommend that you take the cable car ride up to the top of Mount Srd in Dubrovnik, for that photo opportunity of a lifetime. The views from up here are truly stunning, taking in the Old Town of Dubrovnik in its entirety, as well as the neighbouring Elafiti islands and the small island of Lokrum.
