Villas in Gozo
We are pleased to offer a selection of luxury villas in Gozo for your next holiday – each with its own private pool.
Gozo is accessed by flying to Malta airport then taking the 20 minute ferry ride from Malta to Gozo. It is about a third of the size of its neighbour and the culture and character is quite different. It has less of a ‘touristy’ feel – it is more a fishing and farming community and the countryside is greener and more spectacular.
Controls over building developments keep Gozo unspoilt. Flat-topped hills and intensely cultivated fields characterise the landscape, whilst the coast has rugged cliffs, steep valleys and beautiful inlets. Baroque churches and old stone farmhouses also dot the countryside, making villas in Gozo a great choice for lovers of architecture, natural scenery and unspoilt tranquillity.
With mostly sunny weather, expansive beaches, a thriving nightlife and 7,000 years of history, there is a great deal to see and do whilst you stay at a private villa in Gozo.
The islands also come complete with historical sites, forts and amazing panoramas, as well as one of the archipelago’s best-preserved prehistoric temples, Ggantija. Steeped in myth, Gozo is thought to be the legendary Calypso’s Isle of Homer’s Odyssey – a peaceful, mystical backwater.
Gozo’s rugged landscape and spectacular coastline await exploration with some of the Mediterranean’s best dive sites. The island also possesses nightlife and a cultural calendar all of its own, with some great restaurants and bars to enjoy when you book a holiday villa rental.
From the natural sights and caves to the oldest temples in the world, Gozo has a long history to explore. Thanks to its deeply religious population, churches and other religious attractions are also abundant on the island.
Various sites one may visit include the Gozo Museum (historical displays) the Gozo Crafts Centre (with a good selection of local handicrafts) and northeast of town the Citadel/Gran Castello. The citadel is worth a visit during your stay at a villa in Gozo, primarily for its unparalleled views. The citadel consists of a restored Norman house, cathedral and bastions.
Other island attractions include Gozo Heritage, a series of life-size dioramas depicting the island’s past; pretty Xlendi Bay (on the western coast); and Ramla Bay, the reputed Calypso Cave (near the red-sand Ramla Bay). Near Xaghra are a number of places to see – two Ggantija Temples (1,000 years older than the Pyramids) and the Alabaster Caves (stalactite and stalagmite caves).

If you are staying in one of our villas in Gozo, you may wish to eat out from time to time. There is an abundance of restaurants on the island. Most offer alfresco dining and serve a wide range of dishes including pasta, seafood, meat and salads.
