When we arrived in Menorca our villa was exactly as it looked on the website and it was this that made us book the holiday in the first place. It was a first class villa in a stunning location over looking the Mediterranean. The rep for the villa was brilliant she told us the places to go and where to shop and the best tours, she was also on hand when we needed some medical attention for one of the children and she went the extra mile for us to make our holiday great. We would certainly book with Solmar Villas again as the holiday lived up to our expectations. Mrs Jones 02/10/09

I planned a holiday for 10 members of my family including 2 young children and had a very pleasant stay at Villa Vista Mar. The location is great and the views are incredible. Eating breakfast on the balcony or watching the sun set with a glass of wine is highly recommended. It's pretty good if you have young kids although with the number of steps outside you will need to be careful with toddlers. Overall I would definitely recommend the Villa to anyone. Villa Vista Mar was a just as described on the website. The Villa was well equipped and had everything we needed from pizza cutters to the stone BBQ outside. The pool was brilliant as well with enough sun loungers for us all, and the sunbrella's came in handy when one of our group was sunburnt. The local representative was very helpful when I phoned to arrange our transfer back to the airport (wish I had phoned when we first arrived to ask where the best places to visit were). Nevertheless we explored ourselves and found several places to visit. Overall, the holiday was a success and I would gladly use Solmar Villas again and would recommend to anyone, whether it be families or groups. Mr Forrest 03/09/2010
We had a wonderful time in Menorca and the villa was lovely. Our representative, was excellent and recommended a fabulous masseuse that came to the villa. The people are very friendly and Menorca is the perfect place for a relaxing low-key holiday. We loved the view and found the villa to be in an ideal location. We very much hope to return again. We have just returned from Villa Vista Mar in Cala en Porter. The villa was amazing. We each had our own en- suite which was ideal, but most of all the views were breathtaking. To sit on the terrace overlooking the sea either in the day with a coffee, or at night with a glass of wine was like being in paradise. To open the curtains in the morning was like opening an oil painting. A beautiful picture. The pool area was lovely and the children could quite easily have stopped there every day. The beach is not too far away, a very nice beach which has lifeguards for safety, but in all fairness the children could go out quite far with the sea still only coming to their waists. We hired a car for the week and I would recommend this as it is quite hilly from the villa to the beach and after a few hours on the beach the children might have found it too much walking back to the villa. My wife and I liked to take walks along the cliff tops and coastline. It was like a dream though I wouldn't recommend this for young children as the the cliff tops were very high and could be dangerous for young ones. All in all one great holiday that we won't forget. All in all everything was first class!!! Booked the Villa Vista Mar to have a special girly holiday with my Mother and sisters to celebrate my up coming 50th birthday, the team at Solmar Villas where really helpful and patient as have not booked a villa holiday before and not easy trying to co-ordinate 4 women to get the right dates, flights etc!! We had a fantastic week - the villa was everything we had hoped it would be and more, and the views where breathtaking. It was really relaxing sitting on the veranda listening to the waves lapping against the cliffs below, the birds wheeling above and then watching the sun set over the cliffs..... it was magical!! We must have used all the adjectives available to describe how fantastic it all was!! We did eventually go and explore the island - oh what a beautiful place and the roads where a joy to drive along.....so quiet. Highlight of places to go is the lighthouse at Cap D'Artrux(?) there is a restaurant/café where you can sit and enjoy a coffee. The staff where really friendly and you can book a table for a meal and watch the sun set - something we plan to do the next time as the food smelt delicious. Our first meal was at the Castle on the way into Cala En Porter handy if, like us, you arrive early, first visit and getting used to driving on the wrong side of the road as it is situated on the road into the town centre with parking right outside. Good meal and friendly staff. We also visited Mont Tor the views are fantastic you really can see every part of Menorca, if you can get past all the telephone masts that greet you at the entrance - we found it a bit of a disappointment having them there...I suppose needs must but......... All in all a fabulous relaxing holiday, none of us wanted to leave and looking forward to going back!!! Miss Brown 17/6/11
We have just returned from a holiday in your Villa Vista Mar,Cala En Porter,Menorca & can honestly say that our holiday was fantastic.The actual villa lived up to our expectations & more the views were spectacular & the pool was superb.Your local rep was very helpful, She was available to help us with anything which was very reassurring.Overall view fantastic villa,lovely Menorcan people,great service provided by yourselves & your staff result very happy family holiday for us well done & thanks.
