Playa de Pals Villas
Stretched along the crescent of a four kilometre bay, Playa de Pals isn't so much a resort as a collection of elegant hotels and private villas. We are pleased to offer a nuber of villas in Playa de Pals for holiday rental.
A two mile long, white sandy beach surrounded by pine trees makes this a beautiful back drop for any holiday maker. It’s central location in the Costa Brava makes it ideal for exploring many of the surrounding attractions Begur, Torroella and Palafrugell, and the medieval town of Peratallada, are all close by.
Playa de Pals is surrounded by rocky headlands, rice fields and a small lake. Further south past intimate coves are the small up market resorts of Tamariu and Llafranc. Playa L’Illa Roja is more secluded. Pals beach is in a conservation area so no noisy water sports, strictly snorkelling, pedaloes and scuba diving. This is a compact resort which means that all our Playa de Pals villas are very close to the beach and other amenities.
Eating out in Pals
If you are staying in one of our Playa de Pals villas you'll want to sample the local cuisine. Playa de Pals beach has ample cafes, bars and beachside restaurants, or travel to nearby Begur, or the old town of Pals for even more selection.
Old Pals
At the top of the hill, overlooking Platja de Pals, is the medieval town of Old Pals. Cobbled streets, lovely craft shops and cafés. This is well worth a visit.
Barcelona
Take the train from the station at nearby Flaçà, and you can soon be in the centre of the most exciting city in Europe - Barcelona. Amongst the many attractions of this city you will find Gaudi's impressive Sagrada Familiaand Barcelona Zoo and Aquarium as well as an impressive selection of shops.
Figueres
The birthplace of Salvador Dali, and home to his incredible museum, Figueres is easily reached by car from Playa de Pals. See www.salvador-dali.org for more information.
Other towns of interest include the old market town of La Bisbal famous for its ceramics, the ancient remains at Empuries, botantical gardens at Cap Roig, the monastery at Montserrat, the lovely Gothic old centre of Gerona and old harbour town of Saint Feliu with its medieval monastery.
Golf
Our Playa de Pals villas are close to world class golf facilities. Pals Golf Club is considered to be one of Spains finest golf clubs and was 40 years in the making. Now it host numerous international competitions. With 18 holes, the courses position lsoe to the sea makes a stunning location for any avid golfer on holiday to try.

Diving
If you are a keen diver or a beginner, Pals offers diving instruction and excellent snorkelling opportunities at the small coves like Sa Riera and Aiguablava.
Motor Sports
The Formula1 Spanish Grand Prix and Mootorcycles Motogp is based at the Circuit de Catalunya to the north side of Barcelona and drive of about 90kms / 60 mls on motorway. For info see www.formula1.com and www.motogp.com and look at the Spanish grand prix information.
Skiing
The Pyrenees can be reached by car within 2 hours (150km/90mls).
The Vall de Nuria near Ribes de Fraser provides ski facilities in a spectacular environement on the tops of the Pyrenees, accessed by a unique cog railway from Ribes or Queralbs. The location is 3000m / 9000ft above sea level and full info is available on their website.
Walking
Pals is a walkers paradise with stunning coastal paths, an excellent way to explore beaches like El Raco, fishing villages like Sa Reira and the 13th century castle at Montgri mountain.
The Vall de Nuria also provides spectacular walking in spring and summer.
Wine Tasting
There is a good selection of locally produced wine available and any of the vineyards will welcome a visit and wine tasting.
