If you fancy a bit of shopping whilst you stay at your luxury villa to rent in the Algarve, you’ll love the local markets in Albufeira. You can get anything from clothes, shoes and souvenirs to household essentials. There is a ‘gypsy market’ held near the municipal canteen on the third Saturday of the month. There is also a market in Calicos on the first and third Tuesday of the month, a market in Guia on the third Friday of the month and a market at Paderne on the first Saturday of the month.

This lively area boasts more than 3km of bars, restaurants, shops and nightclubs. The strip, despite its name, is not limited to one stretch of road. The entertainment continues down some of the back streets, where a few of the best bars are hidden. This is the most popular place for in Albufeira for those seeking upbeat entertainment.A few kilometres out of town, on the way to Villamoura, there is a nightclub called Kadoc. It has five dance floors and can play host to more than 7000 revelers. There is also another big nightclub just outside of the town. There are three different bus routes, totaling 105 stops all over the city. There are ranks throughout the city, or a taxi can be booked over the telephone.There is also a tourist train, circling the main town.
